What happens if you don’t do Cloaked in Silence? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 11:21 AM PDT Just out of curiosity, since it says there's a sniper going around I was wondering if she'd ever pop up in missions. Edit: Thanks all for replies! [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Jul 2021 02:14 PM PDT So, I've been playing MGSV for a bit and for some reason, I cannot quarantine anyone, the option won't even show up, so, I'm completely confused, does anyone have any ideas or tips to help? [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jul 2021 10:26 AM PDT Hi everyone! I'm new to this group and to the franchise as well. I decided earlier this year that I wanted to play through the Metal Gear games, though all I have is a PC and a PS4. I figured I'd be fine since I could play MGS1 on PC and the rest of them through PS Now. However I was playing through MGS2 when I was made aware that certain features on PS2/3 require pressure sensitive inputs, something the DS4 doesn't have. It's just kind of annoying on MGS2, but I was told that those are a big deal on 3. Apparently I cannot interrogate enemies and will have trouble firing certain weapons. Do you think it's worth it to play it anyway? Or should I just watch cutscenes on YouTube and get to 4? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Anybody else lukewarm on Peace Walker? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 08:50 AM PDT I recently beat Peace Walker with a friend of mine, grinding for the true ending. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, I honestly like it, but don't know if I would play it again, at least past the first ending. Co-op is great, but even that cannot remedy a lot of the game's repetitiveness for me. I've seen many fans praise Peace Walker to high heavens, talking of its importance in the series' narrative. While the latter is true, I'm not so sure on the former. PW appeals to a certain type of gamer more than it does to someone like me, I would say. It's based around short, repetitive content. This is perfect for a portable game, and I honestly loved everything that had to do with byte-sized stealth missions. But the boss battles really were just so much! Learning that Kojima wanted to essentially mimic Monster Hunter (nice crossover btw) in MGS explained this to me somewhat, but it didn't change the sameness at all. In a series known for meticulous pacing and GOATed boss battles, PW sticks out like a sore thumb to me. We dreaded everytime (and there were quite a few) that a boss battle came around. I will admit that we did a decent chunk of the boss side ops, so I might have had a worse experience than some. At some point I realised that tank battles really were just the same raid mission with no noticeable variety, and I stopped doing them. Also, let me say this - the true ending was notably worse to me (this is where spoilers for it will come). Paz' character did a complete 180, and while it was a shocking twist, her character lost all depth and become no more than a cartoon villain. Don't even get me started on the ridiculousness of the underwear shots, we literally couldn't take this seriously. The boss battle and the song at the end were dope for what it's worth. In general, I think the true ending trope in video games should have died as soon as it came about. It's something that completely disregards a more natural progression of the game. Peace Walker didn't do itself any favours with all 6 of the Zadornov search missions. Granted, I thought they were pretty fun. People saying MGS5 is basically Peace Walker 2 makes me a little worried how much I will enjoy that entry, but I have hope. And hey, I did like Peace Walker. The depth to the mechanics in spite of the streamlining was impressive. I loved its technical achievements and the story was pretty great. Just wanted to share some of my thoughts here and see if anyone felt the same way. [link] [comments]
(MGS) Are online chalenges op ? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 04:11 PM PDT I hate op dlcs and packs in games that give the player op items at a lower level. There are online challenges is the game that give A class members and other supplies while my other members are Es and Ds. Is this feature a part of the game or was it added later to make the game easier ? Should I do the challenges ? Will they ruin the fun ? [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jul 2021 04:01 PM PDT Where can I find the differences in the FOBs? Anyone have pics or something like that? [link] [comments]
