    Just finished MGS1 and boy did it surpass all my expectations

    That is hands down the best game ever released on PS1. From soundtrack to the character to story it all just felt almost perfect but probably my biggest surprise is how well the gameplay holds up today. Sure there is definitely some jank here and there but nothing completely game breaking. Already jumped to MGS2. I hear people saying it's the best in the series so I am really excited.

    I never personally touched the MGS franchise until after the PS2 Essential Collection in 2008. I had already played Super Smash Bros Brawl at that point so I was well familiar with what Snake looked like. So when I get to MGS2 and see Plissken, I know it's Snake immediately. For those that played the game at the time of release, was this an actual twist?

    Big Boss missed the entire Star Wars Trilogy!

    I just noticed recently that both Big Boss and Venom Sanke missed out on the release of the entire Star Wars Trilogy because they were in a coma from 1977-1983 (the release of the original trilogy) I wonder who first told them about Star Wars once they awakened?

    Finished Metal Gear Solid for the first time a few nights ago

    What a great game. The voice acting the writing, the cinematography is all way better than most PS1 games that I've played. However, the later games definitely improved on some things. Like the aiming.

    What moment in the Metal Gear series made you feel emotional the most?

    Metal Gear always had some of the most iconic scenes in gaming history. From Metal Gear to Metal Gear Solid 5, these scenes impacted most, if not, all fans who grew up playing these games.

    I do regret not knowing about Metal Gear sooner when I was growing up, but I'm sure people were thrilled upon each game being released by Hideo Kojima.

    The Metal Gear series has a lot of moments where you care for the characters, even if the villains themselves have questionable motives to conquer the world. Characters like Solid Snake, Big Boss, The Boss, Otacon, Raiden, Rosemary, Meryl, hell even Naomi really got a lot of fans' hearts.

    But of course, there is always this one question one would want to ask.

    What moment in the Metal Gear series made you feel emotional the most?

    Let me know what you guys and gals have. Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Just askin i updated my Metal Gear Solid phantom pain on my PS4 saying its version 1.22 but when i play the game it says on the bottom right version 1.15. Is that normal or a bug?
