    Smaller species in Animal Conservation Platform

    I have captured some smaller animals using cages, and apparently two of them are rare (afghsn desert cats, cute things). Inwas wondering if you could see then smaller creatures in the platform, and if so, where?

    Help me with the Peace Walker PSP controls. No "Reset Camera" button available for Shooter Type controls?

    I'm playing it on an emulator with a PS4 controller, so there's plenty of buttons available that I could remap to be a camera reset button, IF ONLY my preferred control scheme (shooter type) weren't apparently the only one out of the 3 schemes that didn't have a "Reset Camera" button. Is there an actual PSP button for that in Shooter type or some workaround so I can center my camera without having to change the control scheme?

    Full list of MGS1's/TTS's Cut Content... this one was interesting...

    This is all taken from Red Code Interactive, MGSWiki and FacePunch (RIP)

    I will be breaking down only two versions of MGS1 which are Vanilla and The Twin Snakes. Apparently Integral had no cut content, which is good.

    MGS1: Vanilla

    SEGMENTS:

    • Decoy Octopus Boss Fight: In the files, strangely he is listed as a boss, taking place after the first Wolf fight, nothing else is listed as a possible boss fight though, no dialogue, no models, nothing. However, the developing team did confirm that Octopus was at some point considered to be a boss before the plot changes.

    SOUNDTRACK

    • The Best Is Yet To Come (Instrumental): During Meryl's shooting scene, where Wolf shot her, an instrumental version of TBiYTC was supposed to play instead of the regular theme.

    • REX Hangar (Short ver.): There was a more clean version of the REX hangar, however the theme was more like an incomplete version. This actually can be heard in the Demo, when accessing the REX hangar via mods.

    • Alternate Menu Theme: A guitar version of the menu theme was supposed to play at some point.

    WEAPONS

    • MP5: The suppressed submachine gun was supposed to appear in game. Later reused for Integral.

    ITEMS:

    • Flippers: Snake was going to be able to use flippers for swimming, obviously removed cause they are unnecessary.

    • Dog Food: Snake was going to be able to collect and feed the wolf dogs, unknown why removed, probably because it serves no purpose, although they could have been used to distract the wolf from attacking.

    • Anti-diarrhea Medication: At some point, Anti-diarrhea meds were going to be used involving Johnny in some way.

    • Fourth Cardboard Box: Another version of the box that was going to take Snake to the Canyon. Removed because its useless and the Canyon had not cargo vehicles.

    • Genome Outfit: Unused model of Snake wearing a Genome soldier suit with no mask was going to be possible at some point, model is still in the files. Later reused for Integral (VR Missions).

    RADAR:

    • Dying Mode: The radar had a mode for when Snake died. Removed because it is useless.

    MAPS:

    • Mess Hall: Snake was going to be able to explore the facility's food section, but was cut in the final version, no model exists, however, Otacon does talk about it at some point, probably removed cause it doesn't really serve a purpose, unlike Big Shell's Dinning Hall.

    • Arms Tech Personnel Hangar: There was going to be a hangar in game which contained product in sealed containers. The room was composed of a small area with a level security door and a twin security door, up on entering the hall, Snake would encounter a huge room with containers, followed by stairs, it also followed with a huge hangar door which was open, revealing another room with another huge hangar door, however it is unknown what proceeded behind the door. This was probably the hostages location, which may have been planned in some way, but removed completely due to story changes. The map is still in the files and fully usable. Later reused for Integral as Gray Fox's playground in VR Missions.

    MODELS:

    • Snake Genome Outfit: Snake wearing an artic Genome suit without the mask. Later reused for Integral (VR Missions).

    • Bandana with tail: Snake was originally going to have a tail in the bandana

    • Facial ver. of Liquid Snake: A scraped version of Liquid's face when inside the Hind D.

    • Sniper Wolf's bullet hole: A scrapped version of Wolf when she got shot in the head by Snake, showing the wound.

    • 1997 Artic Warfare Genome: The original model for the artic Genome soldiers which was scrapped.

    • 1997 Gray Fox: Original model for Fox which was scrapped.

    • Lovrhei: A model for Gray Fox that was green with yellow circles all around.

    • 1997 Security Doors: Original doors for Shadow Moses which were scrapped.

    ANIMATIONS:

    • Crouch Walking: Like other MG titles, MGS1 was going to have crouch walking, very similar to SE3DS. Probably removed because the AI wasn't complex enough for such ability.

    • Roadhouse kick: Like in SOL, Snake was going to have his signature roadhouse kick combo, however, it was replaced by a the basic kick combo.

    • Reloading: Some animations included different types of reloading which never appeared in game.

    • Body Bumping: Genome soldiers were originally supposed to stay after death, Snake could bump into the bodies and even move them. Removed due to hardware limitations.

    MECHANICS:

    • Operational Forklifts: The Genome soldiers were going to be able to operate and navigate with Forklifts on the Dock, Heliport and Blast Furnace. This was removed because there was no reason to have so much activity in such small memory.

    • First Person Shooting: There were coordinates for FPS which let Snake fire in first person mode, this was cut because it made the game too easy due to non complex AI. Later reused for Integral.

    CODEC:

    • Unknown Contacts: There were originally more than eight contacts which could be scrolled up and down.

    • Stun Grenade Mantis: A codec call which confirmed Stun Grenades were going to be able to affect Psycho Mantis.

    • Campbell Calls: Two codec calls with Campbell were supposed to take place after REX's destruction, but before the Jeep escape.

    DIALOGUE:

    • Ocelot's French Torture: Ocelot was supposed to say a line about the French and invention of torture. In the final version, Snake still responds to it, which a minor mistake. This line later appeared in TTS.

    THE TWIN SNAKES

    WEAPONS:

    • MP5: Like MGS1, the MP5 was going to make an appearance from Integral, but was scrapped.

    MODES:

    • VR Missions: TTS was supposed to have a full set of VR missions like Integral and SOL, however it was scrapped because according to the developing team, they ran out of time and couldn't do it. In addition, Genola boss fight and Gray Fox has files which suggest he was going to be playable, which means they were going to remade the whole Integral VR from scratch.
