    Cold War Era

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 02:03 PM PDT

During lockdown I decided to play through the Cold War/Big Boss arc. I never did finish TPP so I thought I'd start from the beginning. I'm basically after the awesome intro chapter in TPP and I'm so slow at getting through the missions.

Does anyone else take ages to do just one mission or is it just me? Haha

    (MGS:V) New game plus?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 01:53 PM PDT

Is there a New Game Plus feature in this game? I recently beat it and I was wondering if there was a way to start over with all your gear.

How would you like the MSX games remade?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 01:50 PM PDT

I heard a lot of people say that it would be cool to be remade with the Fox Engine but I was wondering if you guys have better ideas. I personally think it would be cool to have it remade in 3D but I think it would be just as cool if it was remade like UnMetal.

Mother Base - Late Game Staff Skills Question (Long Post)

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 09:05 AM PDT

So I've been playing since day one, semi-regularly. Over 430 hours. In the last two weeks I've been hitting FOB's hard grinding for resources as I am finishing up FOB3 and starting FOB4. I've watched some of the FOB School videos, picked up on a few things and have gotten a lot better, hit my 200th infiltration yesterday.

My question is regarding setting up Staff to the highest potential. In most of of the categories I have all S thru S++. Most of my waiting room is Support Staff with S ranks since I'm grinding for Fuel Resources, so many I had no qualms with dismissing them to free up space for the troops waiting in my FOB Brig.

I was dismissing guys with no Skill for starters. Then no useful Skill, like Boasters or Troublemakers. So my question, finally, is what skills become less necessary or even useless this far into the late game. R&D gunsmiths for instance, open up new weapons in the upgrade tree but also lower the resources needed to deploy with the weapon... do I still need them? Seems like I don't. Staff with unique development options that you only need to unlock and develop once, like the Materials Specialist for your buddy's Battle Dress, seems like I don't. If I dismiss all Troublemakers, do I need Diplomats? Seems like I don't.

If it is worthwhile, (and because I love the game enough to give myself something to do as a reason to keep playing for years to come), I'm thinking it would be most effective to get rid of these types of staff to replace with Rangers, Sentries, Medics, etc. to maximize results in PF battles.
