    The game is amazing. Given the subreddits content, I don't have to explain why. I just came back to it after like a year, and started messing around again, changing my patch, my weapons, and... Oh wow, quiets gone. OH! That's why I had a butterfly emblem.

    So I guess I'll just go through 150 and then replay episode 11 7 times, sounds good.

    But then I get to this fucking tank mission. Holy fuck this is infuriating. One of these tanks takes 8 direct shots from my GROM and is still unhurt, and now I'm dead. Again. And again. And again. This is not fun.

    The game has such a sharp difficulty jump from easy, fun missions where you can mess around with different loadouts, to hard, interesting missions where you have to figure out what strategy you need... To missions that are just fucking ridiculous, where it doesn't even feel like you need strategy, you just need to replay, and replay, and replay, and hope to maybe, maybe, maybe finally beat it.

    There's all the other shit that makes the game bad - the checkpoints, the story, the absurd outfit on quiet, and this too. And the game is still great, there's a reason I came back to it. But I just don't understand some of these design choices. I mean, I have to replay the quiet mission 7 times to get her back? Why? What could possibly justify that? How is that fun?

    [Speculation] What medical condition does Zero suffer from?

    In one of the Cipher tapes in Metal Gear Solid V, I recall someone mentioning that Zero was undergoing medical treatment in Hell's Kitchen for an unknown ailment. What could this have been, perhaps some kind of paralytic condition? In Metal Gear Solid 4 (2014), Major Zero is 105 years old. If you look at centenarians (people who survive over age 100), most of them are not in a completely vegetative state. I understand that whatever Zero suffers from, it must have been made worse with age.

    I only really started playing once quarantine began, and I've been starting to play FOB missions and, as it were, I continuously get these low level fobs with 0 materials. Around when might one be able to expect to infiltrate an active player's Fob, if ever?

    Recomendations for a series newcomer?

    Just started getting into MGS because I was curious, and I fucking love it. I bought, played and beat guns of the patriot, which came in a little bundle with MGS3. I absolutely loved everything about 2, but felt a little bored with 3. Any recomendations about media to go to from there? I really enjoy the lore of this story, so it could be books, games, etc...
