    Something I noticed

    Posted: 22 Apr 2020 03:24 PM PDT

I was reading about helicopters when I saw the following:

"One of the most famous military helicopters was the UH-1, manufactured by Bell Helicopter in the 1960s. Its official nickname was Iroquois, but it was commonly known as "Huey" based on the Army's original HU-1 designation. Hueys gained their fame in Vietnam serving in a medevac role. They could be outfitted with sophisticated weapons, however. Hueys equipped with machine guns were known as Cobras."

Well, now I know how Kojima comes up with names for his characters.

I love the Metal Gear Solid games, but I have an Xbox.

    Posted: 22 Apr 2020 12:28 PM PDT

I have the HD collection (MGS2 and 3)since its on Game Pass, and I have MGSV. I also have a PS2 somewhere, but I was wondering if I should get a Playstation for more MGS games (and all those other cool single player games)? Or should I just stick to Xbox? (All my friends have Xbox, but they don't like MGS)

    Screaming Mantis without motion controls?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2020 05:26 AM PDT

Hi everybody! I'm catching up on the saga and am playing MGS3 at the moment. However, I don't have a PS3 and I'm already thinking about how could I play it. I'm 90% going to play it on PS Now (my connection is good enough so no prob on that). The only problem is I don't have a DualShock and I'd rather not buy one since I would be using it just for MGS4. I've read that motion controls are pretty much useless in this game, apart from the Screaming Mantis boss fight were they're mandatory. However, I've read someone saying that you can also use the right thumbstick but the guy saying that wasn't 100% sure. Is there anybody there who played it without motion controls and can tell me if it's beatable this way? (No spoilers, please). Thank you very much!

MGS3 Should I do Markhor and 64 Kerotans on separate playthroughs?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2020 11:30 PM PDT

Rn I'm juggling between doing Markhor and Frogs after my first time beating the game on hard (this is my second play through on the same file) and I'm paranoid about not getting all the kerotans so should I just do them on different play throughs so now on my second I do frogs and on my fourth do markhor? (I say fourth because I beat the game on vita but I did a run on very easy for ps3 to see how fast I could beat it which was 3 hours not saying it's pro speedrunner skills but I'd say it's good for my first speedrun of an MGS game.)

TL;DR is it easier to do them on separate runs instead of juggling them?

Also quick side question, for Markhor do you need to not kill more than 2 people or 2 alerts? I want it straight from somebody who has done it.
