    Does this guy become Venom? I’ve read that Venom is supposed to be the best MSF soldier you had and this guy seemed high up in command at the start of Peace Walker and it’s never specified which soldier he is.

    If you equip cig spray while in the scientist uniform it'll disappear, you have to pan your camera to have the cig spray disappear though. Dunno if anyone has actually found this or not, it's a really small detail I feel.

    Have had Phantom Pain sitting in my library for a while and have never played it (I did complete GZ though). Suddenly the concept of Death Stranding really intrigued me and I got it on sale today. Will it be bad for my conscience and the Metal Gear fan in me to jump into Death Stranding first?

    MGS is my all time favorite video game series. MGS2 will always be my most memorable, first ps2 and first "disc" game.

    See i was poor growing up, never had the ps1 or sega dreamcast. I remember my parents finally getting me a ps2 (used) and it came with MGS2. I was more or less 10yo and that part at the end freaked me out so much that i called my sis next door and asked if i could come over. But i was hooked. This whole series is one giant 💎

    I found a way to use the Railgun in Single Player. I haven't seen anyone else document it before and I just wanted to share my findings. The first method works on PC with Infinite Heaven (or a OSP mod installed).

    (SPOILERS!) Was Liquid Ocelot the biggest mistake of the original MGS saga?

    (SPOILERS FOR ALL MGS1 - 4)

    So yeah, I honestly feel like among all the brilliant writing in MGS2, it's the whole Liquid arm thing, that sticks out like a sore thumb. Even by Metal Gear standards, it's way too out there. I know Liquid was a fan favorite villain, and they wanted to bring him back, but honestly, if you cut Liquid out of the second game, you lose nothing. He shows up like twice, and takes off without a fight.

    My biggest issue with it, comes in MGS4 however. The twist that Liquids presence was erased between games, and it's just Ocelot larping as Liquid, is really sad. Mainly for two reasons. It undermines Liquid, as he goes from the badass villain of MGS1, to being revived in MGS2, to just kind going away between games. The second reason is that it undermines Ocelot. The dude was already a scary cold triple-quadruple agent in the first two games. The third game gave him so much screen time, and made him somewhat endearing to the players. And then the fourth game has him pretending to be Liquid until his final lines, so basically we don't get any of actual Ocelot. Honestly, I wish that both of those characters were not done dirty like this. Solidus and Boss were memorable villains, but they let them remain dead. Liquid should have remained dead too. Meanwhile it would have been so much better, if actual Ocelot, the guy we have seen be a sneaky and dangerous villain for three games, finally takes center stage in the final game as the antagonist.

    So yeah, I think the series is full of absolutely mind blowing writing, but the whole Liquid Ocelot thing is the area where it fell flat on it's face. Thought?

    Can't imagine him trying to get both Baker and the DARPA chief out of there… And then what? Wouldn't they just freeze to death once they made it outside?
