    Challenge run ideas?

    Posted: 26 May 2021 11:24 AM PDT

I'm reinstalling MGSV because I'm in the mood for some sneaky sneaky and Arma modding is frustrating me. I'm thinking of a sorta challenge run, or at least a rule set for when I'm doing actual missions and not fucking around.

I have a few ideas to make the run challenging (strategically, but not twith gamey), but if r live some more.

The big one I'm thinking of is to just not ever use customised weapons. They get so broken so fast, and having two different "everything" guns on my back just starts to feel like cheating after a while.

Second, I think, is no tranqs or Fulton's unless I'm specifically out headhunting (or up against kids). This I kind of do anyway, since the lethal guns are more fun. But having it as an actual rule seems appropriate.

Third probably is never connecting to online, since I can't delete those resources. It would make the game a little grindy, but in a way I can handle it since I'm looking for a time filler sometimes.

I won't do things like turn off reflex or markers because I actually suck at games like this, and those crutches are fun to me. I'm looking more to increase the benefits of proper planning and preparation, and improvising after a plan fails.

Any other good rules you could think of to help with that style of challenge run?

    MGSV:TPP staff

    Posted: 26 May 2021 08:38 AM PDT

When you need to find the lost children in chapter 2 you must get the child Fulton and I can't because my R and D and support aren't high enough but I can't get any staff to level up? Please help as I can't progress without getting him.

Turns out the Laurence Fishburne look-alike from Metal Gear Survive was even voiced by Fishburne JP voice actor in the JP dub

Integral or Original + Patch for PC?

    Posted: 26 May 2021 07:32 AM PDT

I'm looking to replay MGS and now that Konami's released it on PC, is it better to use Integral or buy the "original" from GOG?

I'm aware the original versions aren't too good without patching, so does anyone recommend a specific patch?

Okay. Now I need to see if its longer than the ladder in MGS3. And of course using Snake eater to measure it.
