    [MGS2 Spoilers] I need some help understanding the last 2~3 hours for Metal Gear Solid 2.

    Hello everyone
    I've always wanted to try out the metal gear solid series because of how praised it is and I played the first game and understood just how wonderful of a game it is (especially considering when this game was released)

    So I decided to continue my adventure onto the series and finished Metal Gear Solid 2 around 30 minutes before the writing of this post.

    I absolutely love this game, such good pacing and very good plot twists that genuinely catches you off guard. But I have some issues understanding the last 2~3 hours of the game.

    What was the purpose of the S3 mission?
    Was Rose and Colonel the A.I for the entire duration of the game?
    How did Fortune have the electromagnetic field thing on her? Did the patriots plant it on her when she was born?
    What is the 'Y2K problem'?
    How is Ocelot able to directly communicate with the Patriots?
    Also I understand that Solidus wants to create a new 'country' free of the Patriot's control by blowing up the bomb but I can't help but think that there's something else to Solidus' goal.

    I know that I'm asking way too many questions here but I genuinely want to understand the whole series wholeheartedly.

    Summary:

    After Venom Snake embarks on a mission to Zanzibar to liberate a small village being held hostage by a mysterious new terrorist group, Venom Snake returns to Mother Base changed, different, silent. Shortly thereafter he makes several trips back and forth between Mother Base and Zanzibar without any inclination as to why. Kazuhira Miller being suspicious, follows Venom Snake to Zanzibar to find something very odd, strange, peculiar at best. What does he find and why has it changed him? Just what is Snake doing? Find out in very first Chapter of Metal Gear 6 "Enemies since 1988".

    is mgs3:subsistence worth it? (as opposed to snake eater)

    i'm really against piracy but i had to do it for mgs1 because the only copies available are 80+ dollars. now while i can find snake eater copies for ps2 at reasonable pricing, subsistence costs upwards of 60$. i cannot find any place describing the differences, other that subsistence has extra discs. is this the only difference?

    edit: before you mention pc, i do not have one and cannot afford a pc/laptop atm

    Is Peace Walker backward compatible on xbox series x?

    Hello, I'm finally playing these amazing games on xbox series x and I see that Peace Walker was released on x360 and compatible with xone, along with MGS 2&3 in HD collection. I've just finished 2&3 and I wonder if Peace Walker would also run on this console. Can anyone confirm it?

    I'm playing all the games in chronological order and I just got to the original Metal Gear. Suffice it to say I'm having some SERIOUS difficulty getting through this game. Is it worth playing for story reasons (I already know what happens at the end but I figured I'd play anyway) or to just experience the game? Or am I not missing anything by going straight to MGS 1? (Apparently that's a veteran players first game so I'd assume I'm not missing too much). Or alternatively is there an easier way to take the game (I'm on original difficulty because I assumed it didn't make much difference but now I'm not so sure) even though I'm using a walkthrough (and am somehow only at the second elevator after dying REPEATEDLY).

    Finally it's done. I'm happy to say that I finished MGS4 for the first time in my life. AND IT WAS AMAZING! This game is just a pure epic story with solid characters and excellent gameplay. It was one hell of a ride. Metal Gear Solid 4 GotP ✓ Metal Gear Rising RV ...LOADING...

    I just started MGSV, and am up to mission 6, which I just finished. I need some help understanding the roots of skull face and Cipher. All of what I know is from this article: "Metal Gear Solid 5: The only 5 things to know before playing," from cinemablend. Could anyone tell me if I'm missing anything or condense that article?

    I've never been super huge in the Metal Gear series (though I have watched playthroughs of most of the games on youtube) and I've only ever played Rising. I havent touched it in sometime but I played through it again the past week and I forgot how much fun it is. Im better at melee then guns so I always feel right at home with the hack and slash and stealth. Playing the DLC I remember how much fun Blade Wolf and Sam are (Raiden is too of course lol). I finished it all today and I feel quite satisfied and a little sad that its over. But at least I know I can always go back to it should I feel that itch again.

    Idroid glitch please help

    Having an issue with the idroid in TPP. It keeps opening randomly without me hitting the button to open, it happens again and again and it makes the game totally unplayable because of it. Can anyone help?

    How long do the bees sleep?

    When I tranq guards, with the ZZZ sniper, do they ever wake up on their own? If so, how long does it take? Asking for FOB missions where time seems to be around 15-30 minutes.
