    As i am sure many of us thought that Venom was actually as old or even younger than Boss, he appears to be actually older, 3 years to be precise.

    While Big Boss was born in 1935 and was 49 during TPP, Venom was born in 1932 and was 52 during that but he definitely doesn't sound like it.. it is kinda safe to say that Venom's hair in MG1 grew white sooner because of his age, although it ain't that much.

    Hi everyone! Many, many years ago, Kojima wrote some articles about his favourite movies and their influence on MGS. One was, perhaps unsurprisingly, about Escape From New York but I recall he also talked about The Great Escape.

    Does anyone remember these articles? Or have a link to them online?

    According to the main artist of the game (Tsubata Masao), Metal Gear Acid 1 originally was going to have a different tone in it's story. Including horror elements. It changed midway in dev.

    I was playing metal gear solid v and no joke it took me 3hours to complete the mission to save emmerits and defeat selanthropus. That shit was the most stressful thing I have done in video games.

    Venom never recovered?

    In a big Navalny (russian politic and opposition leader) iterview after his recovery from poisoning, there is a part where he describes the awakening from coma. He told that he came to in several steps, there were a lot of hallucinations Navalny percieved as absolutely real: "sometimes it felt more real than actual reality". During the coma itself there was nothing going on, like being switched off. But then he began to wake up into surreal world where his legs and spine were unrepairable and the japanese medics were preparing cyber-prosthetics to replace the destroyed limbs. It was the world with Marvel-like technologies, etc. Surreality began to dissolve later, giving way to thoughts that he must steal a gun from security and escape from hospital. Medics told him that if he stayed in coma for a little longer, he would never recovered past the stage where he was staying with one leg in that hallucinogenic world of conspiracy, cyber prosthetics and surrealism that percieved as absolutely real. Sounds kinda familiar, doesnt it? And then i thought: what if Venom Snake did never recover? What if his trauma did not allow him to return to lucid consciousness and all the Phantom Pain events are his hallucinogenic mumbo-jumbo with loose ties to reality. Giant walking anthropomorphic tank, floating kid, burning corps, unicorns, cyber-ghouls, super vocal cords parasites and obviously Paz - all that. It sounds crazy, but when you hear real man describing similar things, you understand that it is the real experiences of human brain surviving a coma. What do you think? Fits Kojima all right... or not?

    What exactly is this TRUTH OLGA WAS TALKING ABOUT!!!����

    I think it's pretty important to understand this truth because it could totally sway your understanding of what might be really happening in MGS2. Here is what Olga says:

    ————————- Raiden : So you did it all for your child. But why would the Patriots want to help me? Are they hoping I'll take Solidus out?

    Olga : No. You're just like me... we're just pawns...

    Raiden : Pawns for what purpose?

    Olga : The S3 Plan...

    Raiden : Huh?

    Olga : You'll figure it out sooner or later -- but I wonder if you'll handle the truth? ——————————-

    Olga and Raiden are both pawns put in place for the S3 plan, but what is this truth that Olga isn't sure Raiden can handle and how does that relate to the S3 plan. Raiden references it later in the game when he queries whether everything he experienced with Rose actually happened. See below:

    ———————————— Snake : It's a trap. Since the Colonel doesn't exist, there's no way he can take Rose hostage.

    Raiden : Yeah -- you're right...

    Snake : I am right.

    Raiden : ...OK. But... Does Rose -- exist -- ?

    Snake : Don't be weird. She's your --

    Raiden : What if I've never really met her... If the Colonel is something that I partly dreamt up, then... everything I remember about her could be...

    Snake : Don't jump to conclusions!

    Raiden : You and Otacon are the ones that say the Colonel never existed. Is this what Olga was talking about?

    This is exactly what Olga was talking about. We know Rose is a real person but that does not mean that the experiences Raiden thinks he had with Rose for 2 years were real. Don't forget Raiden's memory was altered. The first question Raiden asks at the end of the game is, "Who am I really". Snake suggest that it does matter if Raiden's memory or the role he was assigned was real! 😱. Isn't this exactly what the the S3 plan was about. Isn't it a method, a protocol that made Raiden what he is, as in the role he played in MGS2 and the identity he thinks is his. The big question is whether the S3 turned Raiden into a Foxhound operative on his rookie mission or if the S3 convinced him that his identity is truly Jack. This "truth" that Olga refers to could well be that Raiden's identity is not Jack. Jack Rose's boyfriend could well be the role he was assigned through memory manipulation. That could well be a truth that Raiden can't handle. He handled the idea that he was a rookie Fox hound member well because it allowed him to ignore his "identity" of Jack. Would he be able to handle the idea that Rose and his relationship was an embedded myth that he now has to accept as reality.?
