    Due to MG projects starting to use fictional weapons instead of real ones since 2013, the patriots in MGS3 pachislot look slightly different and is named "CQC rifle" instead. Most weapons of the slot also were the V counterparts or new ones, if a remake of mgs3 is made, those changes would be kept.

    Welp, don't try and experiment with Steam controller configs, because apparently it delete's save data. Kinda sucks, because I was like 70% completions rate, had a bunch of cool stuff, and even S ranked every mission. School is starting up again really really soon, so I wouldn't be playing a lot of it, but I'm really upset. 128.3 hours of my life has been spent. I wouldn't call it a waste because I did get my worth out of the game, but It's still a shame.

    Small rant

    Ok don't get me wrong I love metal gear solid 1, but holy fuck I hate the last 30 minutes of the game it is ridiculously difficult. From the fight with liquid on top of rex to the getaway chase I just wanna break something from rage granted I could probably do better if I just get good but man that was frustrating as hell. I mean I've beat it before but this play through was so punishing near the end for me and idk why.

    Can’t go back to motherbase help!!!!!

    Every time I try to go back to motherbase the game looks like it's about to load then stops halfway through. I've deleted a good amount of mods but that hasn't worked and now I'm at a loss and have no clue what to do

    I've been invested with the Metal Gear Solid series for a couple months now and I want to play more of it besides from Ground Zeroes or The Phantom Pain so I decided to start playing Mgs3 but I'm not quite sure on what version I should get.

    MGSV spoilers: heard a really good theory the other day

    So later in the game I thought Paz somehow survived the bomb, it later turns out that she was actually a hallucination created by Big Boss. Notice how I didn't say Venom Snake, few others believe that Venom Snake was created from the conscience of Big Boss, could be either to cover his guilt from who he'd become or just an existential crisis.

    In the flashback Paz jumped from the heli, Big Boss was in the same position Venom was in the hallucination, like they relived the exact same memory, hypnosis couldn't alter that, it just doesn't exist. It had to be trauma or a Phantom Pain even. I know about the AI pod not recognizing Big Boss or even his appearance in MGS4, but like I mentioned earlier, Old Snake could've just saw the Phantom of Big Boss, even with the changed appearance. It just seemed like too much of a hallucination.

    On that note, Ishmael could've been a hallucination too. From escaping the hospital, to getting shot in the head and surviving the crash, this is all Big Boss' headcanon. Notice how when Ishmael shot at the guards none of them went down or noticed him, he just disappeared into thin air. Obviously people will disagree, but I now believe there was only ever one Big Boss, we play from his perspective, so we hear what he believes himself to be hearing, the AI pod, tape recordings, separate ops, all of it is linked to the internal brain hemorrhage that was mentioned in the beginning of the game.

    Ocelot even said "Naked Snake is no more, now return as Venom Snake". That could mean anything, but I believe it meant he was no longer the same man he once was, he needed to become a demon, he wouldn't deserve to be called "Big Boss" for all that he would do. It sounds ridiculous but it clears up many plot conveniences and holes that were in the prologue. In the end he's still a phantom of who he once was. "There are no facts, only interpretations."

    I played pretty much a lot of kojima's games but mgs is a masterpiece a played them all just mgs 4 and my favourite is mgs peace walker

    I was so excited to finally get my hands on the legacy collection, (Amazon kept me waiting) and planned on starting with mgs1. After an hour into the game, I tried to save and apparently I need a memory card. Please tell me there's another way to save. Thanks

    The one who named The Patriots, Patriots ( maybe spoiler )

    The Philosophers got reformed to The Patriots while the original members of The Patriots were Zero, Big Boss, Para-medic, Sigint, EVA and Ocelot. All of these people to choose the new name of The Philosophers or actually the rebirth of the organization.

    It makes sense that Big Boss be the one that chose the name of The Patriots, he took The Boss' patriot as the The Patriots' name.

    Now here Cipher is definitely Zero's idea (since it means zero) but The Patriots wasn't government's idea probably, but it could've been Zero's as well.

    So what do you think? Am i missing something that someone else decided the name? Or it is of respect to The Boss? Or both since Who are the patriots line was in MGS3 as well?
