    So I'm pretty well versed in MGS lore, but I haven't been able to find an answer to this question: How did Venom Snake become a "perfect" soldier like Big Boss?

    The whole idea behind Big Boss was that he was as close to a perfect soldier as you could get and that's why he was being cloned. So how did Venom Snake get to be as good as him? Was it just from taking all his memories and experiences automatically made him as good of a soldier as Big Boss? Did Ocelot train him real quick before they got to Afghanistan? I know as Big Boss's field medic Venom Snake was already one of the best soldiers, but he couldn't have been as good as Big Boss was.

    I know it's a pretty unimportant question, just wondering if anyone knew or had theories. I don't follow lore of really any series at all, but MGS is one of my favorite game series that I've played my whole life so the lore actually interests me.

    am i missing something or thats it? because the game was so good until this huge disappointment. WTF?

    Konami should continue MGS with the Ghost Babel timeline.

    I recently got into Ghost Babel and I always assumed MGS3 to MG2 took place in the series but recently found out it only goes up to MG1 and then Ghost Babel. I think Konami should spend some time expanding on this timeline and show us what potential differences lead up to this point. 1. The game could hint to MGSV never occuring leading to Big Boss dying in the timeline during MG1 or 2. The events og MGSV occured but for some reason Big Boss never set his plans in motion for MG2 and thus Big Boss could be alive. This all could make for new interesting stories without Konami heavily changing the the original timeline to try and pump out more games that dont involve Rising or covering events that could for example touch on Raiden turning into a cyborg. My fear is Konami messing up the original stories because they want to keep making money so touching on the Babel universe would allow them to experiment and make new stories even with already established characters. They could even make it where Snake doesnt age rapidly to keep him going too. What do you guys think and what changes in the timeline would you like to see?

    MGSV - AFK resources?

    Hey folks!

    So I've started MGSV again and have got absolutely loads of money and some resources from previous games when I connect to the online gameplay. One thing I'm desperately short of is Fuel however - and I can't improve my Base Development unit without more?!

    I've got a huge amount of unrefined fuel online - but I can only find info about AFKing resources five years ago and mentions that it's all been patched out.

    Can anyone help with newer info please?
