- I was playing through MGS3 and I noticed that my dates of the saves got all weird. The game thinks I traveled almost 15 years back in time between saves.

Posted: 14 Feb 2020 02:22 PM PST I just replayed 'A Heroes Way' on MGSV, I wanted to complete some mission tasks so I had to force myself to kill the target. I completed the mission in 12 minutes, completed 2 mission tasks, no one saw me or even got suspicious of anything, I tranquillised one guy, fultoned him, then killed the target and left the Hot Zone without anyone knowing I was even there. When I got to the mission summary screen(or whatever it's called), it gave me a B. How? That was one of the best mission completions I've ever done, and I get a B. I got an A on 'Skull Face' even though I just drove through the entire base, retried 7 times, used the chicken hat, wounded like 5 people and then spent five minutes trying to find a music tape before confronting Skull Face. I am so confused, this happens with like half my missions; I'll go through the entire mission stealthfully, kill no one, Fulton every person I knock out, and complete the mission in less than 15 minutes, and I get a B or a C. If I blast through it, get spotted, kill and wound people and retry multiple times, I'll get an A or an S, along with a Foxhound codename. | Posted: 14 Feb 2020 07:50 AM PST Just watched the original Blade Runner for the first time and the themes of the movie are very evident in Kojima's games. Particularly Snatcher but most importantly MGS2. The idea of implanted memories and the inability to determine if your memories are in fact real is huge in MGS2. Here is one scene in Blade Runner which highlights Raiden's dilemma: Implanted memories that are not yours. The interesting thing is that MGS2 ends with Snake telling Raiden that, "the memories you had and the role you were assigned are burdens you have to carry. It doesn't matter if they are real or not." We know that Raiden's memory was indeed altered most likely by cerebral implants. The MGS2 gameplan discusses Raiden's false memories. Could Raiden have been implanted with someone else's memories? What would be the point? Why would we care? It wouldn't matter because his new memories would become who he is as Snake suggests. But it would matter if we actually knew who he was before the memory implant! [link] [comments] | ||

| I'm trying to go through the series and keep messing up. Help. Posted: 14 Feb 2020 06:50 AM PST I beat phantom pain not too long ago and since got really into the series. I got a way to play the orginal games (except solid 1 and 4). I'm starting on snake eater and going through it, but I keep messing up. I hate the combat system and hate getting into fights. I want to sneak past guys but keep messing up. Is there any quicker way to load a save rather than going to the menu and reloading the save? I just want a quicker way to do it. [link] [comments] |
