I love that these games have meta themes to them, but playing this scene for the first time last night was uncannily relatable as I currently have a pinched nerve in my neck. Can confirm this is how it feels.

    MGSV - "Extremely cooperative" extractees

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 10:52 AM PST

Whenever I extract someone in the main story and Ocelot later says something like that person has been "extremely cooperative" or "extremely helpful", I can't help but remember that Ocelot is in fact a master of torture and that there is probably a sinister undertone to whenever he says something like that. Thoughts?

(MGSV) Marking people through walls with Noctocyanin?

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 01:10 PM PST

Hello, in all of my time playing this game nobody told me you could mark people through walls while using nocto, because I thought it was impossible. But as I just discovered, clicking on an outline of someone through a wall while in int-scope and placing an actual marker on them will also put the red marker over their head, even after you clear the marker. How come this info is not spread around more in guides and such? Really useful, even if its probably common knowledge for more experienced players.

MGS V: The Definitive Experience (PS4) resetting online progress

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 01:07 PM PST

So I've been wanting to restart the game from the beginning but there is one question that I cannot seem to find a definitive answer to online.

If I delete the save data for the game, does it also reset online progress?

If not, is there a way to do it?

Possible item to use in torture room? (MGS3)

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:06 AM PST

In metal gear solid 3 during the torture room seen where sokolov dies, Volgin says "let's take a look at your body shall we?" right there it gives you an option to use an item, is there an item you are supposed to use there that you have to collect?

Does mgs3 hd have theater mode like ps2

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 03:34 AM PST

For the vita and ps3 versions of mgs3 hd does it have a theater mode that you can unlock once you beat the game? I loved watching the cutscenes in the ps2 version.

MGS The Twin Snakes Elevator Help

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 03:53 AM PST

    Hi guys,

Whenever I enter the elevator after defeating Liquid in the Hind D, there are no enemies in the elevator to fight. Otacon calls Snake and tells him about the 4 missing stealh suits and you can hear one of the enemies saying 'Die, Snake!' or something like that, but there are no enemies in the elevator. I'm playing on Dolphin Emulator and have had no problems up until this point.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    can someone explain mgs3?

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 07:36 AM PST

i played 2, and it ended up being one of my favorite games. 1 isnt on PS Now, but i watched a playthru of it before. However with 3, i never had any fun with it throughout. I will be the first to admit i am a little bitch but i can at least understand when a game is good and its just me being a fucking idiot in either the gameplay or plot parts of the game, but i just didnt 'get' mgs3 i guess. I didn't like the openness, or having to manage camo, which is just going to a menu finding the highest number and clicking it, the menus are horrible and intrusive, the surgery mechanic is just a colossal waste of time that could have been improved in so many ways (i dont want to go on too long but i have some ideas for improvement myself actually). the plot was good but i dont understand the god level hype it gets. i thought the setting(s?) were very boring and uninteresting. Minor nitpick (incredibly minor) i know it was a homage to spy movies but an american operative having a having a british accent slightly bothered me. People hype up the cobras but i didnt get that either particularly. Bee man is just angry boy with bees with a stupefyingly simple fight, fear man is just a crack addict, though i did enjoy his fight a lot (but gets similarly stupidly easy once you put on thermal goggles, though that is up to the player) the end was cool but his boss battle was insufferably long and repetetive (though i understand thats the point, but to me its like pissing in your bottle of pepsi and saying 'well thats the point its supposed to taste like piss). Fire boys backstory made no sense, though his battle was one of the only times i actually had fun in mgs3 frankly. The sorrow was really cool i must admit. The battle with The Boss gets hyped up, which i dont really understand too. The area is beautiful and the themes are great but the battle itself is kinda stinky. If you dont know the trick its thumbbleedingly difficult, but if you do know the trick you can beat it in no time flat, leading the 'big final battle' end goal of the game feeling a bit pathetic. Thats not even mentioning the Volgin fight, which should replace prison system as the advanced world's preferred form of punishment and rehabilitation

I did really like the character development of (naked) snake and his relationship with boss, and really liked the character of Ocelot and the whole spy movie thing going on with Eva, but this entire game i was just kinda waiting for it to get good and it didnt. I was frustrated with MGS2 and almost quit, too, but it eventually 'clicked', while mgs3 didnt. I just dont understand the hype
