    As the title says I just finished MGS1 for the first time and it was a blast! Seriously It's hard to believe such an old game holds up so well

    The gameplay was definitely hard to get used to at first; particularly the choking mechanic and the camera angles, but once I did it's quite fun especially the boss fights which are kinda of like intricate puzzles, I found myself looking for all kinds of solutions throughout all of them

    The story how aged incredibly well particularly the voice acting which is insanely ahead of it's time, I can't really think of many games of that era that are this cinematic and emotionally deep especially the codec calls when Snake is in the jail cell and the boss's monologues after they're defeated, and the characters are just so rich and fleshed out too like Grey Fox, Colonel Roy Campbell, Naomi Hunter, Meryl, Ocelot, Liquid, and Snake himself

    Overall it took about 15 hours to complete and I got the Iguana rating, I guess I'm still green lol

    The only entry I've played before this was TPP which the story of pain although it had potential really pales in comparison even to MGS1. I find it really off-putting now that Venom Snake barley talks whatsoever

    On to MGS2, I'm super excited!

    Playing Peace Walker and I wanted to verify a theory that I saw on Reddit about Venom Snake...

    The theory was about a guy that discovered Venom Snake true identity. He believed that the CIA orange jacket guy was Venom due three clues : codename was Ibex (goat like animal with V shaped horns), good medicine skills and saying something about being Big Boss or something like that.

    Sorry but today I played that mission and... theory is jossed. I fultoned only him and PoW and among the new recruits nobody was called Ibex or had that quote.

    Too bad, it would have been awesome if Venom Snake was present in PW (maybe killable too).

    I've been wanting to get into Metal Gear Solid, and i can emulate the mgs1 and peace walker on my pc but the other games - mgs2, mgs3, mgs4, mgs gz, and mgs5 don't play really well on my low spec shit.

    so should i play mgs1 and watch the rest on youtube or do you suggest i wait till i get a good pc or preferably a console for the hd versions ?
