    I was only 8 when MGS was released - this was obviously before the Internet. It took me about 5 years before I realised that there wasn't an item called a 'cd case' and that Meryl's frequency was on the back of the actual game box.

    I'd still be looking for it to this day if she never called me.

    Is Cyborg Ninja the most frustrating boss in MGS1?

    I know this is a classic and beloved game, but I'm playing it for the first time and I'm finding Cyborg Ninja to be mechanically frustrating. I know I just have to "GIT GUD" but I'm not used to playing pre-PS3 games, and between the graphics and controls, I can't nail the timing or positioning for melee combat. I had an easy time with the first bosses.

    Here's my question: will future bosses rely on precise timing/positioning the way this fight does? If so, I may have to switch to Easy (I'm on Normal) if I want to actually enjoy the experience and not hate this game once I'm done. Thanks for your insights.

    MGSV discussion thread - how did you feel at the time of release vs now? (Spoilers)

    Just wanted to discuss this confusing game with likeminded individuals lol. I was really disappointed in it at first but years later I'm prepared to call it maybe my favorite in the series. Been a fan since 98 btw, so it wasn't my first game by any means (hence my disappointment initially).
