    For us Metal Gear Solid fans that also play Call of Duty, Treyarch dropped a skin paying homage to Venom Snake. The skin itself is called “Sand Snake”. I refuse to rock any other skin now.

    I remember seeing an article in Nintendo Power about this game 2 decades ago, long before I played MGS 1-4 10 years later.. I finally managed to snag one for $40 on ebay and play it, and I am really enjoying it so far!

    I don't know if Kojima just forgot his own canon but I've never been able to understand how Big Boss was able to become the commander of a U.S. military special forces unit Fox Hound while Zero and his cipher network knew about Diamond Dogs/Outer Heaven.

    The whole body double revel in MGS V makes it harder to understand.

    So from Cipher's perspective, they're tracking Big Boss and discover he's building a nuke for his own private army(peace walker) cipher destroys that army(ground zeros) then Skull Face goes rogue and poisons Zero putting him in a coma so Zero turns everything over to his Patriot A.I. Then Big Boss becomes the head of a U.S. special forces unit? I would imagine the Patriot A.I. would have all the information on Diamond Dogs/Outer Heaven. Ciphers whole thing is information. That's all they do.

    I was finally able to get my hands on the HD collection through ps now, almost a year after getting the phantom pain's platinum. I'm currently playing snake eater but can't find the first game. Anyone know if it's possible to play the game on the PS4?

    Always thought it looked dumb but I recently rekindled my love for the Metal Gear franchise and decided to play it on PS Now because I felt like playing a hack n slash. Been slapping myself for not playing it sooner. Always been a DMC fan but this blew it outta the water.

    Is it just me or does the MGS3 ending still hit just as hard after all these years? Just the music and the delivery are perfect. It doesn’t have to make sense, it just hits me in the feels every playthrough. Picture for your time

    How Much Gameplay is in Metal Gear Solid 4?

    MGS4 currently holds the world record for longest cutscene in a videogame; around 90 minutes of uninterrupted story. I've also heard people call it 80% movie, a strange feat considering this is a game. I have no qualms with watching a movie, but I want to know if these claims are true before I buy it. Is MGS4 worth playing rather than watching; how much gameplay is actually in there; and is the interactivity vital to the experience? Thank you, and no spoilers please.

    I mean I was really surprised when they decided to put those freaking things on FOB missions, how can I skip the fight with the skulls? is it possible? I was playing at 2 am. and they almost give me a heart attack, i was just prancing through the base I was not expecting them at all, I though it was just zombie people and stuff

    Can the Diamond Dogs soldiers leave the base or not?

    Well, I was wondering, Diamond Dogs are a Private Military Company. Basically mercenaries. They fight for money. But then I realized... Money are worth jackshit in the middle of the Indian Ocean. What can the soldiers buy? Beside all that kidnapping and the theory that DD is basically a cult centered on Big Boss that brainwash his members , which is supported by TvTropes. It lead me to question for what DDs recruits are gonna fight and die. Nobody is willing to die in a painful way for just money and they seems too loyal to Venom Snake... But can they leave the base and actually spend the moneys gained?

    Mgs4 is amazing

    It's not a perfect game, but I think it's just beautiful. I just got through my first play through. The story is what's so great about this game. I think game play wise it's sort of a downgrade from 3 and feel more like an action game than a stealth game. But that story is some of the best in any game. It rivals 3 imo. It's so damn good and made me cry so hard. I know I have some more games left to play but if the series ended here I'd be fine with it. MGS is now my favorite video game franchise. I spend $30 bucks on the collection for ps3. I don't even own a ps3 I had to borrow one and I'm so glad I did. It's some of the best money I've ever spent.
