Why Solid Snake Was The Perfect Clone of Naked Snake | A Philosophical Look At The Four Snakes Posted: 10 Jul 2021 03:45 AM PDT INTRODUCTION I say Naked Snake and not his real name John or his more popular title of Big Boss for a very specific reason. John was the man he once was. Naked Snake was the hero with an ironwill he became. And Big Boss was the idealistic anti-hero and later anti-villain he ended up as. Only to in his final moments reject the two and find himself John once more. Solid, Liquid and Solidus, the three Snakes. The Twin Snakes and The Perfect Clone. And it is true that Solidus was the perfect clone; the oerdect clone of Big Boss. PART I - The Third Son Solidus is the younger brother of Solid and Liquid, deemed the perfect clone of Big Boss. This reigns true in more than his creation as a duplicate; The broken but idealistic hero or anti-hero Big Boss treated people well and fought for unity. He wanted to make the world a better place—an admirable goal—but his focus on soldiers in particular clouded his judgement, ultimately truning his Outer Heaven—an idea—into a military regime that becomes a threat to the entire world. George "Solidus Snake* Sears was a pawn of someone bigger than him, much like his father before him. The Patriots controlled him. A difference between Big Boss and Solidus Snake is that the latter immediately adopted the mindset of an anti-villian, justifying his actions to rid the world of The Patriots "by any means necessary*. He was controlled like Big Boss and sought a revolution to become free as well as free the world. Though ultimately killed by Raiden, his plans were foiled by Solid Snake. PART II - The Spiteful Son Eli learned of his past in his youth. It troubled him deeply, even to the point of developing a genuine hate toward his "father." He rejected his father but was always drawn to him; he wanted to prove himself superior as early as being only 13-years-old. In fact Solidus and Liquid both display two different versions of the devil. George embodies Lucifer, the angel who sought to rid himself and everyone else from the shackles of God. He wanted freedom, so he raised an army and fought a bloody war, one which he lost and fell. Eli on the other hand embodies Satan, the angel who sought to overthrow God mainly due to his own inferiority complex and desire to prove himself better. He too raised an army and he too fell. Eli rejected his heritage and waged a bloody war on it and anyone daring to stay in his way. And in doing this he adopted his own idea of Outer Heaven and in many ways becoming the anti-Big Boss; turning into an evil, twisted version of the man he despises as to oppose him better. But Liquid Snake was driven mad with his mind constantly running on hate. He wanted to prove to the world that he was better than his father as well as his brother. Yet, all he really achieved in the end was the same fate as his father, forever known to the public as a terrorist leader whom was dealt with. Though ultimately killed by FOX DIE, his quest for superiority was foiled by Solid Snake. PART III - The Son of John and Joy David also known as Solid Snake is the odd one, the black sheep of the Snakes. He sets himself apart from the rest but not in the way you think. For the other Sons of Big Boss were Snakes in name only. When John was given his codename of Naked Snake, the first of the Snakes was born. And after him would Solid be the only one to truly embody the Snake. But unlike the first Snake who was naked—once dressed in experience slowly turning into a form of villain—this Snake wasn't naked, he was solid. The Brother was liquid and formed his own twisted shape. The Third was solidus, a form inbetween solid and liquid. The First was naked and quickly changed. But David remained as he was solid. David or Solid Snake was trained to essentially become the new, modern era's Naked Snake. He had the genetics for it and the mindset. And much like I have been alluding to here once Solid Snake became the new Naked Snake he never went past it into something else. John moved on from Naked Snake to become Big Boss, George was never a Snake in practice and jumped straight to becoming a new Big Boss, and Eli rejected both Naked Snake and Big Boss to be his own Boss and Snake; but David never moved on. He destroyed Outer Heaven and despite the revelation that he had been lied to and minpulated he continued pressing on. He took on Zanzibar Land and then Shadow Moses Island and after that is when he goes in the same shoes as post-Operation Snake Eater Naked Snake where he rejects his country to start his own organization. But unlike the man who stopped being Naked Snake to become Big Boss, Solid Snake remained himself and continued his goal he had always had. Big Boss fought for the solidarity of soldiers; Solidus Snake fought for the liberaty from shadow organizations in control; Liquid Snake fought for himself; And finally we have Solid Snake who much like The Joy or The Boss and Naked Snake fought for peace. The son that Joy and John never had together was David. The influence of his "spiritual mother" never affected him like it did every other Snake—interestingly this is also a major factor leading to Solid Snake always staying on course, always fighting for peace. His mind had not been clouded like all the others' and could think for himself despite everything that he goes through. He is the embodiment of the shining light, of the Light Bringer; for though Solidus Snake and Liquid Snake both embody the two devils Lucifer and Satan, it is only Solid Snake that managed to embody the origin of the name Lucifer which is that of light bearer or light bringer. And through his light can the world begin anew, without Snakes. He stops each revolution set forth by his family only to in a way bring the entire world a new type of revolution that instead of bringing arms, it disarms—and it does so equally. For everyone. Peace Walker Outer Ops 71/72: how to beat these last two outer ops? Posted: 10 Jul 2021 06:44 AM PDT So I've tried a couple different combinations of mechs (MBtk-70 Custom and AH65A-R Custom), but my whole group of 8 mechs gets wiped out every time. Is there some combination that does work? Would S-rank combat staff with K.Pistols and M47s actually help with these ops? Something else, maybe? Looking for advice and options. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Jul 2021 10:08 AM PDT Did they patch all the ways to take out quiet non lethal? It seems the only way to do it without firearms is to CQC I did it with rocket arm and gas grenades neither worked. [link] [comments]

MSF mentioned in Metal Gear manual?!?! Posted: 10 Jul 2021 01:10 AM PDT Is this real, or was this added later? I found this English translation of the original metal gear (1987) msx2 manual on this sub in a post from 6 years ago. Here it is: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B1Ev0h6J50-NfmJCbGRTYmJjM2dNVHFGRjRzN2ZESVBlNGJaeDVyVnJ2UVAwWFByZklPVHc&usp=sharing When you go down to the characters section, under Big Boss it says he was involved in "his own PMC in the 70s, MSF". Is that real? Did it really always say MSF or did whoever translated this add that in? [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Jul 2021 10:42 PM PDT So, after being years behind I decided to finally play MGS5, and am still not quite used to how open the game is compared to the others I've played. I've previously only played the numbered titles. Currently, I'm doing side ops and Fultoning as many people as I can while I wait for D Dog to get older, but are there any other gameplay mechanics I should be focusing on? [link] [comments]

When do the Acid games take place? Posted: 10 Jul 2021 12:49 AM PDT Yes, I know they are not canon and don't take place at all in the actual series. But I bought a Vita in large part so I can replay 1-3 and finally play the PSP games including Acid. If the Acid games are their own timeline, did any other games fully take place in that timeline? The art looks like Solid is in his MGS1 gear so I'm guessing that and the original MG games? Still leaves me unsure about 2, and almost definitely not 3 because Acid came out only a month after [link] [comments]
Before MGSV how did you think that big boss survived metal gear 1? Posted: 09 Jul 2021 09:17 PM PDT I was wondering what before MGSV the general theory was how big boss survived metal gear 1? What did the wiki say about it, what were your personal theories or did you think it was just a retcon. [link] [comments] |
