    Does the medal gear solid hd collection contain all the games needed to understand 5?

    So I a total virgin when it comes to metal gear solid game recently picked up 5 and subsequently discovered that this was a mistake to do so without playing the others. So before I start this game I planned to play the original games as to get context and discovered on ps now the mgs hd collection..

    Upon Looking into it it doesn't appear to contain Metal gear solid 1 (maybe I'm wrong) so I'm wondering are the other games on this collection enough to get me ready for 5?

    For clarification I don't have a PC or ps3 I only have a ps4

    Second time playing this- first was ten years ago. I know nothing about metal gear- I've only played 2 and 3. I like the game- but it's different. I don't even know the series but know it seems like an odd one out of this bunch. Playing on hard mode right now since I only ever beat it on normal. Do you like this game? Why?

    Yes, I know Mission 51 is the answer to this.

    Or rather, would have been the answer.

    But in the process of everything that happened, it got cut, and if you only played the standard version of MGSV, with no further outside context of the collectors editions or leaked cutscenes on YouTube, you are left with a huge gap in which canonically you don't know what happens with Eli and Sahelanthropus, regardless of what the intent was initially with mission 51.

    This honestly may be a case of no one can say for certain, but what do y'all think?

    [MGSV] Is extracting s+/++ from FOB's the only way to get them other than the few you get from campaign?

    I just started playing this game a week ago, and I've been searching for ways to get more S+/++. I see everybody saying that I can get a lot of volunteers from high ranking FOB's and security challenges. I've been doing a bunch of security challenges and none of them give me any S, they all give 5-10 A's, am I doing something wrong here? Is the only way to get S and higher by extracting guards?

    I also noticed some people mention that there are people that are nice enough to have no defenders at their base, allowing you to easily run through, however, every one of the "no defender" tagged security challenges has had defenders, am I doing something wrong there too?
