    Just beat MGS1, amazing game!

    Just beat MGS1 with a good ending (Turbo, yes i'm sorry) and it was a great game, the only infurating part of it was the Machine From the Game Title, which took me like 5-9 tries, anyways, i have two questions:

    1 - Just finished the game without dying (except that's a lie because i used the exit button), without killing more than 25 enemies and in 5+hours and got the rank before the worst one, the game asked me to save and i saved, and i noticed a yellow text on my save, what does that mean?

    2 - Does bonus items disqualify you towards getting a good rank?

    That's all, loved this game, i might play MGS3 for the second time in my life and try to beat it, later this year, only thing i remember about MGS3 from the back of my mind was a upwards view like early GTA titles, and just Naked Snake speedwalking on a jungle.

    There's this one hint that says dont engage helos head on but 200 round machine gun goes brrrrt and its gone and if the machine guns are not solving your problems your not using enough ammo

    Change language in MGS1 on the PS3

    Hi everyone,

    I'm trying to play the 1st MGS on my PS3 that I got with the Legacy Collection a while ago.

    The download contains several versions of the game as well as some more "Special Missions".

    I don't have any problem with the English version, but I would like to play it in Spanish as the translation is quite mithycal. However, I haven't been able to change the language of the game.

    Is there a way to do it? I have the PS3 in Spanish and I've tried some different versions of the game that come with the download, but it is always in English.

    Are the OG Metal Gear Solid games worth it?

    Im thinking of buying MGRR since Ive got that DMC action hype but I also wanna give the MGS franchice a shot. Should i play all the games prior to 5 (on PS3) or should I just go for MGRR and 5 instead?

    Have you ever paid attention to where the enemies are often looking when you're stealthing around? It's directly at you. They know you're there, they're just in on the rules. "Oh, I see you over there, dude. Just come within exactly 30 meters while crouched and I'll be allowed to do something about it, you ain't stealthy." Seriously, it makes me feel embarrassed how the game pokes fun at you by having the enemies occasionally stare straight at you. Maybe... MAYBE it was done increase the tension, but it doesn't feel natural.

    I finally beat ground zeros!

    I am terrible at stealth games, but I've always wanted to play metal gear because I find them infinitely interesting. I absolutely adored death stranding so I was really craving more hideo Kojima and I already had metal gear solid 5. I had tried to get into that game many times but just felt like I could never beat them because I was so bad at the stealth. But I finally got through mgs ground zeros without being seen! So proud of myself for that! 🥲

    Japanese Metal Gear Solid script - Find or Buy?

    Kind of a longshot but I'm looking for the Japanese script for any of the following:

    Metal Gear Solid
    Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
    Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

    Reason: I'm looking to make language flashcards to help with my Japanese language learning. My preference would therefore be some kind of digital version of the script, to allow for copy and pasting.

    Quiet confuses me.

    Ok. So Quiet is a nearly omnipotent force of nature that can survive long falls, anti-tank rifle bullets directly in the face, and a whole plethora of other things. She can phase through anything, see anything at any distance, and take down anyone and anything in either close quarters combat or long-distance battle. The legends of her on the battlefield are arguably more amazing than Snake's legends: a sniper who is never seen and never heard and who only leaves corpses to show her presence.

    But she lets herself be shot by Snake, staying in one place for entirely too long multiple times in a row while letting Snake pop his head up multiple times after she's reloaded and taken aim. She lets herself be tortured by the Diamond Dogs. She lets herself be shot by multiple other enemies and hit by mortar shells while working with enemies. She lets herself be captured by forces in Afghanistan. She lets herself be waterboarded... twice. She lets Snake shoot her in the head if that's the early, unpleasant ending you choose.

    I don't get Quiet. Half the time she's an unstoppable goddess of war, and the other half she just acts as an overconfident bullet sponge or allows herself to be captured and tortured when she's shown time and again that she can phase through restraints and kill innumerable people in a small area.

    Help me understand these two versions of Quiet.
