Can You change the Language on the HD collection games and on MGS4? (PSN store digital versions) Posted: 01 May 2020 07:41 PM PDT So I recently bought MGS1 for the ps3 through the store, planning on getting all the games and playing them in release order but I soon found out that MGS1 was locked in German since I have a German PSN account. Will that apply to MGS2,3,4 and peace walker aswell? Or will you be able to change the language on those games? I got into MGS last christmas, I have over 95h on TPP currently, and I'm really interested in playing the old mgs games. [link] [comments]

I'm having trouble with MGS 2 V's fix controls Posted: 01 May 2020 07:02 PM PDT First of all, I mean zero disrespect to V. He is really cool for making a working fix for a broken port, and I can't possibly imagine how much work it might have taken to do that. After trying unsuccessffuly to emulate an xbox 360 gamepad from my generic usb one using x360ce (for other games it works, but not for this one aparently), I got it working with Steam Big Picture. The problem is that none of the shoulder or trigger buttons work, meaning that I can't change weapon or equipment. Has anybody here successfully emulated an xbox controller from a generic one in V's fix? If so, how? Sorry for broken english, its not my first languaje. [link] [comments]
First time playing an MGS, my thoughts Posted: 01 May 2020 06:56 PM PDT MGS was always a series I heard great things about but missed the boat to play as a kid. Thanks to emulation I was able to have a chance to experience the series. I started on MGS3 and my first initial thoughts were wow this took inspiration from a James Bond film, diving deeper into the game I became fond and curious of the characters and lore but there was one glaring issue I noticed immediately. For the early 2000's the controls were considered great, but in 2020 they obviously don't hold up whatsoever, however this is expected. But fuck do they feel clunky, from having trouble aiming when not in first person, first person just not being good, accidentally clipping to a wall and scaling it in the middle of combat, to combat just leaving a feeling that there should've been something more to fill the empty shell it feels like it is. it's making the game extremely hard to finish. The question I want to end off with is, Is this game worth finishing despite the prominent problems I have with it? Edit: I know the final decision resides with me, but I would like to know if you feel/felt the same way and still went through and finished the game. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2020 06:29 PM PDT So I have 100 percented mgsv on Xbox but never really tried out online. I tried it but couldn't find and active server. I was just wondering I fthere are like five to ten servers on PS4 as that is where most people play on and I have a copy. [link] [comments]
Just finished MGS 3 and I'm disappointed. Please change my mind. Posted: 01 May 2020 06:27 PM PDT Hello. I've been playing the Metal Gear franchise for the first time and I've gone through the main titles since Metal Gear up to MGS 3. So far, MGS 2 is my favorite. I was ultra hyped to play MGS 3, but I've just finished and it felt pretty flat and overrated. The Cobra bosses didn't have detailed backstory nor were interesting as previous ones (except for The End), Volgin was too generic and boring and I found the pacing quite awkward, specially with moments where one was supposed to move a bit, then appears a little cutscene, then move another little bit, and then another cutscene, something that wasn't present in MGS 1 or 2. Besides that, eating animals and food was funny, but I didn't feel like it added very much to the gameplay, same with the Cure system. I guess I have some other things that I didn't like, but that's that for now. Big Boss, The Boss and Eva do were interesting characters and the ending was quite great, but I felt it didn't compensate for the whole game. I need someone to change my mind because I really feel that I should like this game more. I even enjoyed Metal Gear 1 and 2 more. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2020 06:13 PM PDT So I have finished the game on Xbox and gotten 100 percent finished with the game but I never tried out the online mode for 5 but I was having trouble finding a popular server. I have the game on PS4 bit never really played it on there. I know that's where most people are and O was wondering if there where at least like five to ten servers on PS4 for online [link] [comments]
