    Omg, I didn't know much I've been missing for all these years!

    Would rate 8/10 though. Didn't like the cutscene-style, and imo it's the "worst" Kojima MGS. But it was overally good, and the story was brilliant.

    Campbell in MGS4

    One thing that's always bothered me about MGS4 is why he keeps getting referred to as Raiden's former commanding officer?

    This is such an infuriating inconsistency because it's only there to establish an actual relationship between Raiden and the real Roy Campbell...this implies that Raiden really was a member of FOXHOUND even though FOXHOUND was disbanded following their revolt on Shadow Moses. As was made very clear in MGS2, Campbell was actually GW and Raiden had never served in FOXHOUND. Therefore Campbell and Raiden didnt even know each other.

    Even in MGS1 Campbell wasnt the commander of FOXHOUND and hadn't been since before Liquid Snake took over

    I only found one mgo subreddit and it seems to be pretty much dead. Even with its flaws and lack of dedicated servers,I love the online part of MGSV.

    I own all the DLC and I live in Europe (since i found some snippits somewhere talking about certain regions not being able to get this weapon)

    MGSV Ending - Venom does NOT accept his role anymore

    I've been getting back into MGSV and my love for Venom Snake but I've seen so many people completely getting the ending wrong. People say Venom smiles at the end and accepts his fate but that couldn't be further from the truth.

    When he first hears the news he is Big Boss, he smiles because at the time he is one of Big Boss's closest allies who would die for him. What most people MISS is right after that, when he flips the tape, TIME JUMPS (10 years).

    After this time jump, Venom is bloody and angry. He puts on the flip side of the tape then sees the demon he's become and punches the mirror in anger/disgust. He is NO LONGER happy to have become Big Boss because now he has seen the absolute Demon he has become and the carnage he's had to create in his name. He hates the face he sees in the mirror, the face of the man who corrupted him.

    In these years he's lost nearly every piece of the good man he was before. By this time he's fully devolved into the Big Boss villain we see in MG1 all in the name of Big Boss, who couldn't even pay him a visit to tell him the news of Solid Snake's arrival.

    Venom Snake does NOT end the game happy to be Big Boss. He ends the game horrified and angry at the Demon he has become for this man who completely stole his life. Venom Snake is easily my favorite character so I just hate watching people completely misinterpret the ending.

    If you want to verify for yourself,watch how the Diamond Dogs logo in the back changes to Outer Heaven when the tape switches.

    Such a tragic character. Gave up his own morality for a man who couldn't even give him a phone call.

    Big Boss' intention with Solid Snake?

    During Outer Heaven, John (or maybe it was Venom?) says he sent David in to give the world false information? What information? And why would John send Frank in first to 'get caught'?

    So I'm playing MG 2 (MSX) and have some questions (spoilers)

    Hi. As I said, I started this saga with this game, and there's some questions I have.

    1- I ended up not answering Holly White's call at the beginning of the game, because I was repeating that part too much so I wanted to skip that part. Now I can't contact the character at all. What should I do? I can still restart the game.

    2- After I killed the first boss (Black Knight) he told me some story about a bomb and some guy who saved him. I skipped MG 1 so I'm not really sure if I should've known what he was telling me beforehand.

    Dr. Madnar

    I've been replaying MGS4 and the original Metal Gear (from MGS3 on the HD collection) and realized that in MG you need to find a Dr. Madnar to help learn how to destroy Metal Gear, and in MGS4 during Act 3, Raiden (cyborg) needs to be helped by a Dr. Madnar. Is he mentioned anywhere else that I've missed? And are they the same person or relatives?
