Does anyone else get emotional Posted: 22 Mar 2020 01:14 PM PDT Either by playing the games or listening to the tapes? I mean I've seen some shit in my day but Kojimas back story through all the games just tug at my remaining heart strings. I'm even playing the only game in the series that I dislike (peace walker) and some of strangeloves tapes are getting at me. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Mar 2020 02:47 PM PDT Does anyone have any recommendations for a good blind playthrough of the first two Solids at least (haven't played any of them myself)? Preferably ones where the streamer gets immersed in the story with no forced humor if possible. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Mar 2020 01:39 PM PDT I am starting the MGS series for the first time after hearing so much amazing things about it. I know that I should play games in release order which if I'm not mistaken is : 1-2-3-4-Peacewalker-Ground Zero-5 I was just wondering where Rising fits in this, where should I play it? Thanks! Posted: 22 Mar 2020 11:24 AM PDT Hey guys — have wanted to play the MGS series forever, and I'm finally ready to give it a go! I'm starting with Snake Eater, both because it seems to be one of the best in the series, and apparently because it's the first game chronologically. In general I honestly suck at most video games, but I've played a decent share of stealth games in the past. A decade or two ago I loved and beat all the Splinter Cell games. Recently I've played through the two most recent Hitman games. However, I am struggling with even the early level in Snake Eater. It's taking me like a ton of tries just to get past the initial guards :o I have decided that I need to adjust to make the game slightly easier. I'm considering either restarting on "easy" instead of "normal," or perhaps just trying to proceed with the assurance of a FAQs game guide. So I guess my question is, do you guys recommend one method over the other for a struggling player? Is it more likely that the guide will help me grasp the game, or does the difficult escalate such that I need to crank it down if I'm already struggling this early? Also, do you feel that either being "spoilered" as I play with the guide, or playing on a low difficulty would prevent me from enjoying the game in full? Thanks! [link] [comments]
