i'm making a hd mod for mgs3 for the 3ds version but its only playable on the citra emulator.

i'm trying to give it a more realistic look, since the original mgs3 textures look kinda cartoony.

almost finished with re skinning the whole virtuous mission, after that i will release the first pack.

anyway included here is a W.i.p picture of snake, as you can see he has a better looking bandana and face texture and also a different tiger stripe uniform.

my goal is to reskin the whole game, but my main goal for now is just the environment, characters and weapons will come later.

I've been doing a chronological plot playthrough of the Metal Gear games and was dreading Peace Walker and its interminable vehicle battles. I figured the PS3 online would be dead and the servers switched off, but there's a still really cool small community on there who I played through most of the game with.

Those servers have been up for nine years now and knowing Konami they'll bring them down without warning. Online co-op is the true way to experience Peace Walker and without it, it's half a game! So if you want to try it, get on while they're still live!

I absolutely forgot how heavy the story is in this one. It's the only game that I haven't played more than once until now, but wow, it really sent me over, especially towards the end there and with what happens to Otacon's sister.

I've played 1, 3, and 4 many times, with three being my favourite, but I think after replaying 2, it probably tops 3 for me. I kinda didn't want that last cutscene to end right before fighting Solidus because I was so intrigued by the exposition. What I think they executed perfectly what the extreme maturity given to Solid. His words towards the end are absolutely beautiful, straight up.

Just had to get that off my chest lol. Anyone else wanna share their thoughts?
