    I'm mostly confused by the very end when Raiden is talking to the AI. They claim to be inhuman and were created hundreds of years ago in the primordial soup of the White House? Are these things aliens? I thought they were just the AI, but they're saying something completely different? None of it really tracks AT ALL and in the end, Raiden goes back to Rose who is supposedly a sleeper spy? Also, these things claim to be the Patriots or whatever those 12 people are, but Snake still vows to hunt them down? How are you going to find the identities of someone who doesn't exist, bro? Can anyone explain this to me?

    Also, what is the deal with Otacon's pornhub style storyline? Had sex with his step-mother, caused his father's suicide, had a weird relationship with his step-sister (they played "house) and it inadvertently helped create the most dangerous metal gear to date... sheesh Kojima.

    Please help!!!! How can I find one of the parts of MGS V TPP story that explains the relationship between Cobra members and Code Talker?

    I haven't beaten MGSV TPP, but wiki says that there is a relationship between Cobra unit members (The End, etc) and Code Talker, so how can I find this part of the story on youtube?

    Mass Fulton? Anyone else experienced this?

    I just picked up MGS5 again and I was trying to find some documentation about how I did something way back when I first played it. So far I have found nothing on YouTube or Reddit, so I thought I'd post...

    In an early mission in the game, I had been spotted and ran away in to a rocky area in Afghanistan, there were about 4 or 5 guards searching the area I was last spotted. When they finally walked right up on me, an (!) appeared above all of their heads and they all were fultoned at the same time.

    Has anyone else encountered this? Am I crazy? Please let me know!

    Why the fuck is this game so good at making the player "feel"?

    Just wanna say, I've only played MGS1 and half of MGS2 before, and also seen all the MGR:R cutscenes. I'm 18 and am supposed to come home in a week and play the MGS HD Collection I just got myself for my birthday. But I'm an impatient cuck, so I went ahead and watched some MGS4 cutscenes today.

    All I know about Revolver Ocelot is from MGS1, MGSV and some YT comment I had read which implied that Ocelot somewhat cloned Liquid to fix his arm but then Liquid took control of his body, thus making Liquid Ocelot.

    Watching Ocelot and Old Snake fight, it broke my heart. The no-homo kiss, nostalgic soundtracks playing on the background (Snake Eater, MGS1 alert theme), and the "you're pretty good" quote echoing at the end. I barely care for Ocelot, yet I cried like a fucking baby holy shit.

    I didn't stop there though. I went ahead and watched Big Boss's appearance at the end, because I'm batshet insane. Til today, I never even knew The Boss existed, and barely knew about Big Boss's motives and ideals. Still, him giving Old Sneek the CQC hug, stopping him from suicide, "live your life, respect other's will" speech, and the cherry topping at the end...

    "this is good, isn't it?"

    ...gave me the chills.

    I just went through a video of some guy I don't even remotely care about give a 30 minute lecture on living life while dying from FOXDIE, and I genuinely felt sad.

    How do you do this, Kojima?!

    P.S. It was great seeing Merly ina wedding dress. Thank you Kojima, very cool!

    Is the final higgs boss battle supposed to be a reference to the final liquid snake boss battle?

    I think the final battle with higgs in death stranding is a reference to the battle with liquid snake in mgs4. The emotional music and health bars.

    ...but i can't seem to get myself to uninstall the game.

    I mean, i have 85% completion, i still have plenty of missions to get on S-rank or get side-objectives, and i could always just replay missions in many different ways (although i usually go for the tranq-pistol + AR method).

    I replayed MGS1, 2, 3, and 4 so many times, but MGSV isn't really replayable in the traditional sense unless you want to throw your entire Mother Base and R&D weapons away and that's something i actually really hate about the game.

    Anyone else have a similar feeling towards MGSV?

    MGSV Revenge/Readiness and the chicken hat trick

    I've seen a few posts floating around that seem unclear about whether or not this still works, but can you use the chicken hat and easy missions to reduce your revenge/readiness meters?

    The gist of it that I understand is if you complete a mission using the chicken hat, all of the various readiness meters go down faster than they normally would + any actions you took don't add to them. I made the mistake of free roam farming for a long time and I'm now in the red for every category so this would help tone things down.
