Help me choose a MGS tattoo!

    Posted: 26 Oct 2019 12:40 PM PDT

Howdy gamers! I love this franchise so much im willing to engrave it on my body forever. The engravings may have no tactical advantage whatsoever but whatever that isn't important. My problem is I can't think of something specific that i want. I would love to hear your guy's ideas on what to get. Any help is appreciated!

Is about 1 million PF points normal? (MGSV)

    Posted: 26 Oct 2019 03:01 PM PDT

I was inactive for about year +- and I checked how many PF points I have gathered through those weekly fights and it's at 1 million and 70 thousand. Is that normal? Feels like a lot and I don't remember getting that much in my previous inactive gaps from MGSV

Would you prefer Metal gear to go "full actors" like Kojima did with Death Stranding, or for it to stay with "original characters"?

    Posted: 26 Oct 2019 11:11 AM PDT

original characters in the sense, not a scanned actor.

Is now the time for the rise of 'MGS-like' games?

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 06:07 PM PDT

So the Metal Gear series appears to be dormant. Still, there is likely a market for 'MGS-like' games. These would be in the same vein as 'Rogue-like' and 'Souls-like' games: games that are mechanically and thematically similar to the originating game.

MGSV was great and all, but it strayed a bit from what I think of when I think 'MGS'. MG, MG2:SS, MGS, MGS2, MGS3, and MGS4 all follow the same formula enough to solidify what an MGS-like game ought to be like.

The material attributes an 'MGS-like' game would have, in my opinion, would be the following: * Single operative perpetually in enemy territory

    • Radio calls with various allies providing game help and world-building details.

    • Stealth gameplay with action elements

    • Active and exciting bosses

    • Gradual increase of weapons and equipment

    • Twisting narratives

These attributes don't even need the latest graphics of the FOX engine and similar engines. Indie devs could certainly put a compelling game together.

Any thoughts? Are there already MGS-like games out there? The void of new MGS content is deafening.
