Easy, I slept for two weeks straight in the middle of a mission where time was very much of the essence and he died of old age.

    Good thinking, Boss!

I think Metal Gear 3D is the best version of mgs 3

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 01:40 PM PDT

I mean on the new Nintendo 3ds/2ds it's great with the joystick added. I don't rlly mind fps anyways and the 3ds release has some great features from peace walker and some more Easter eggs and also a camera camouflage mode. It's just fun. I'm very nostalgic for it but in general I think it's just the best version of it.

    A question on MGS1's ending.

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 12:41 PM PDT

    Spoilers of course.

After reading some threads about Ocelot's phone call in the post-credits scene of MGS1, I think that fans have two interpretations of the reveal that Solid was the "inferior clone" and I was wondering which one was correct.

The first interpretation reads like this: Liquid is mad at Solid because he believes that Solid received the dominant genes while he got the recessive ones, but when Ocelot says "The inferior one was the winner after all," it implies that Liquid actually had the dominant genes, while Snake had the recessive genes. Liquid was misinformed.

The second interpretation is this: Liquid is mad at Solid because Solid received the dominant genes while he got the recessive ones, but when Ocelot says "The inferior one was the winner after all," it implies that Liquid had a fundamentally incorrect view of genetics. Recessive genes aren't inherently inferior, and in the case of Big Boss, his recessive genes created a better soldier. Liquid's information is right, but he doesn't understand that being the recessive clone actually makes him better.

I've always thought it was the first reading but after some thought I'm not sure. Some have criticized Kojima's application of genetics with the first interpretation because he seems to imply that recessive=bad which isn't really true, but the second interpretation makes it sound like Kojima understood genes while Liquid didn't. I don't know how to discern which is true, I was wondering if something in any of the later games confirmed the correct reading or not.

(off) Can anyone tell me if these photos are real ? I still can't believe the brothers Houser, Leslie Benzies and Kojima were in the same environment
