    Remake, reboot, new installment, spin off... Ultimately it's them that should decide. During the Kojima days, if Kojima listened to the fans to decide what is the franchise, the saga would have been very different and much less good.

    Even Kojima told the staff back then to not let fans decide of what Metal Gear should be, instead he told them to do what THEY want.

    Yes Kojima and a few others are gone. Yes Konami are far from perfect.

    But there's still many good staff members at Konami, including veterans of MG who can train new staff members. They should not be ignored or insulted like many does.

    And if Kojima had the freedom in the past with MG, So should they. Some of the biggest veteran worked on MG for years since MGS1, À few even are from before on Policenaut.

    I feels it's a bit sad how a majority of people don't even knows about these guys and completely fall in misinformations like "all of Kojipro followed Kojima", when it's very far from the case.

    MGS4’s explanation of Ocelot’s possession

    I found it interesting that Big Boss says about Ocelot that a person can be made to play a particular role "under certain conditions" and right at that moment there's an X button flashback showing Ocelot being taken over by Liquid in MGS2.

    A lot of people have interpreted MGS4 as saying that Ocelot faked his entire possession from the very beginning, and that it was a long-game play that was entirely within Ocelot's conscious control (save for the extent to which self-hypnosis mitigated Ocelot's free will). However with this flashback I interpreted Big Boss to be saying at the end that the "certain conditions" here were Liquid's very real possession of Ocelot (and this is unsaid here, but it's facilitated via Ocelot's father being a spirit medium - The Sorrow). This made it possible for Ocelot to use the nanomachines, psychotherapy, autosuggestion, and all that stuff to try and control or harness his Liquid possession problem for his own ends. I think it's unclear the extent to which Ocelot was really in control by the end, but nonetheless he used a bizarre cocktail of his real possession and all that other stuff to fuse the two of them into a single personality. At some point this involved cutting off the transplanted arm in favor of a prosthetic, for reasons unclear but most likely because Ocelot thought that would mitigate some of his loss of control. But it's unclear the extent to which that actually worked - it's not certain that the removal of the arm necessarily removed the "real" ghost of Liquid. It's just something Ocelot did along the way to try and tame the Liquid personality and integrate it with his.

    Just wanted to share these thoughts as I was prepared for MGS4 to really irritate me with the "hypnosis" explanation by blatantly retconning an obvious possession and pouring cold water on the "Ocelot's father gave him unwanted spirit medium powers" plot point they'd hinted at. But I think they left it very open to interpretation at worst. Same with Vamp's powers being "nanomachines" - Naomi said they enhanced his abilities, but it's not explicitly said that he was a completely normal human who was changed with tech. It's just that nanomachines are ubiquitous in this world and all your enemies have enhanced themselves with them - even the truly supernatural ones.

    How do you choke and do other melee attacks in MGS1

    MGSV: Did Nova Braga Airport have under passages??

    I've played through a few times just because it's easy and fun to play, but I swear Nova Braga Airport used to have little under passages to crawl through when I fought the Skulls there. I can't seem to find them anymore. Am I going insane or were they patched out ages ago?

    Non lethal assault rifle or riot SMG

    Started a new run and was thinking about using the UN ARC NL and an armor piercing handgun for use against the riot boys

    In the beginning of Peace Walker, Paz says that she and her "friend" were captured when they stumbled on and heard something they shouldn't have. In reality, she is talking about Cécile who was alone when she was captured, and Paz (being a spy) used her tape to coerce Snake into taking the mission and getting involved in everything.

    One thing I never quite understood, is why didn't anyone (Cécile especially) put two and two together and realise that Paz was lying about the two of them being friends? Surely when Cécile becomes part of MSF she would have corrected Paz's cover story?

    in pw big boss has a date with paz, (who eveyone throught was 16 at the time) hes 39 in that game. In mgs2 doing the sniping part if use the directional Mic on Snake he will say "do i need to clere things up with otacon before asking her out? Emma is 18 in that game and snake is 35.

    Can't find claimed event rewards(soldiers)
