I know i'm about 5 years too late for MGSV, Posted: 15 Jul 2021 12:58 PM PDT but i've been having a blast. never before had i played a game that was ENTIRELY made of that thing game designers call emergent gameplay. Nobody ever tells me what to do or how to do it – just a bunch of objectives, here, accomplish them however you like. The OST is kinda short though. So, for anyone out there still playing MGSV, i did a thing: a spotify playlist with everything i thought would be cool to include for Big Boss to kick ass in 1985 Afghanistan. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1XX4z7npG8KSYr8L381DDF?si=83d06eb16c654c39 This is in no way chasing accuracy: i know there are some songs that weren't available in 1985… it's more of a vibe thing. I think Snake would vibe to this. Good luck out there, Boss! [link] [comments]
Metal Gear Solid Secret? Vulcan Raven with no weapons Posted: 15 Jul 2021 08:01 AM PDT Long ago, I was playing Metal Gear Solid 1 and my buddy found a walkthrough online that said it was possible to beat Vulcan Raven (second fight) with only punches and kicks. After doing so, you would get his minigun for the rest of the game. I tried and tried but never got a single hit on him this way. I just remembered this after 20+ years, and now I can't find anything corroborating this secret. Was it total bullcrap? [link] [comments]
Does Big Boss have infinite stamina? Posted: 15 Jul 2021 12:57 AM PDT I ran an entire 3km in mgsv and big boss didnt get tired [link] [comments]

Could MGSV handheld at 60fps be a reality?! Posted: 15 Jul 2021 01:19 PM PDT As I'm sure most of you have heard, steam has announced their own portable PC and they boast that Death Stranding itself can be ran from the library in one of the pictures. Surely if optimised well enough we could get MGSV handheld in some way? If you haven't heard of this, check it here: Steam Deck [link] [comments]
Worth metal gear solid Portable ops? Posted: 15 Jul 2021 12:46 PM PDT I've just finished snake eater, should I play portable ops or go to peace walker? [link] [comments]

why you shouldnt watch MGS digital graphic novel Posted: 15 Jul 2021 02:50 PM PDT Ive just finished watching the first Metal gear solid digital graphic novel and i have quite a few things to tell to anyone, that hasnt seen this shit yet:
my reccomendation is to not watch it, just watch the original MGS playthrough or just play it for yourself, but if someone already watched it too, i would want to hear your thoughts about it [link] [comments]
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes - how do I change the mission difficulty? Posted: 15 Jul 2021 07:29 AM PDT I started playing Ground Zeroes yesterday and it's my first Metal Gear game. I'm loving the gameplay but I noticed that the first mission where you rescue Chico and Paz, there's a "normal" difficulty at the mission selection screen, and I didn't see the option for a higher difficulty level. Do I need to complete all missions on "normal" before higher difficulty gets unlocked? Does each mission in GZ have a fixed difficulty level, or you can change it for each mission? If you can, please let me know where and how to do that. [link] [comments]

To people who speak Czech.../ Your fav scientist in the series? Posted: 15 Jul 2021 06:33 AM PDT 1:What does kio Marv say exactly in mg2 2: As a side question to anyone, who is your favorite/ most interesting scientist in the series? [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jul 2021 11:06 PM PDT You know at the end of MGS2, when Colonel says to Raiden, "This is a type of role-playing game..."? What if there was more to it than that? For a while now, there's been a theory floating around that all the games in the MG series are just VR simulations. I think they definitely are, but not for the reasons people have said in the past. After studying the series for over twenty years, these are the kinds of questions I've tried to answer, all in the hopes of making sense of the nonsensical. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Jul 2021 07:50 AM PDT Well, I was having a good time on Reddit, chatting with someone. I will not reveal the users identity to protect their privacy, but if they wish they can confirm! One of them revealed to me that is from a Middle East country. I tried to guess his country, and I said that it was the "controversial country" (I called it by what I believe is the real country name) due the fact that the user played MGS:V. I was shocked to learn that it wasn't. I believed that "a certain character from MGS:V + MENA region = BIG NO NO. That user confirmed that in his country the game is not only not banned but also nobody care about that character's appereance. Then sometime later I asked if knew if Saudi Arabia banned MGS:V due the reason that I mentioned before. While the user didnt knew, a internet search and another redditor confirmed that is not banned. Surprise, nobody care. But what shocked me the most was when I started chatting with an Iranian user ( hello doost =) ) and I asked : "So how did you played TPP? Is not banned there because of "you know"?" Turns out that Iran didnt banned MGS:V. and nobody there made a fuss about it! IRAN of all places! A country that banned Battlefield 3 and other games and movies because of "certain content" that sometimes is even less that what appear in MGS:V. I even looked on internet, and using a transliteration of that character's name, I was able to found results in Farsi, (the cursed video that I posted some time ago, comes from that search) and no one was controversial or whining about her appereance. Seriously, the region that should hate Quiet more due her appereance, in reality don't give a fuck about her. Maybe because they have more pressing issues in real life than worrying about a videogame, but nobody in Middle East whined so much as Western fans (living in countries with breastfeeding, women in bikini everywhere or sometimes even nudist mentality) so this should be food for thoughts for people complaining about Quiet in MGS:V. quick questions about Metal Gear 2 (on MGS3) Posted: 14 Jul 2021 09:46 PM PDT Hey again, Actually managed to complete Metal Gear 1 tonight. Had a few questions. First, I tried googling but is there a thing anywhere that lists the conditions for getting the code names? Specifically the one you get for completing MG1, I got DEER and dunno what it means. I found a page for it on the wiki but it was confusing, seemed like it only explained which ones you get for the boss rush mode (I died at Metal Gear and gave up lol) And beyond that, it's been a really long time since I played MG2 and don't remember much about it. I had a really tough time with MG1 due to how it only seems to save your progress at random spots. Is MG2 the kind of game where I could probably go it alone for the most part, only needing a guide for the really cryptic puzzles? Or should I stick to the guide start-to-finish the way I did with MG1? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
