    I know the story of mgs, I've beaten 3,4, and the PP ( don't ask why I haven't beaten the others cause I don't even know) but I was wondering if I should play release date or timeline order.

    Can someone explain to me what MGS is about?

    I've just finished MGS5, I liked the gameplay and loved the "military sci-fi" setting but it's the only game in the series I played and honestly didn't quite get the story - many wtf moments. Can someone point me to a summary of the overall MGS story or explain it to me?

    I got spoiled on The Phantom Pain - Will this ruin my experience of the story? (SPOILERS)

    Unfortunately, through the internet and stuff i found out that you play as Venom Snake who is an identical(?) copy of Big Boss but nothing past that. I assume this is a major spoiler at the end of the game (Like Big Boss being alive in MGS4, which i was also spoiled on through that one youtube video title however i also just knew that "he is alive" at that point) so is this something that will make the twist significantly less impactful even tho i just know that he's a copy of Big Boss and nothing else? I'm currently playing peace walker so i wont be playing MGSV until i finish it so i wont find out for a good while

    Want to get into MGS, but before the first Solid, there's two Metal Gear games. I'm not sure how relevant they are to the plot, but whatever the case, they're super old and I'm guessing kind of hard to play in moder hardware. Is there anywhere I can watch a recap of the plot or something? Thanks!
