    Super Bunnyhop has some of the most interesting MGS Retrospectives I've ever watched. Been watching him for years. Came across his YT almost 10 years ago. He's covered all the mainline MGS games. Check him out.

    Does the wind in MGS4 do anything?

    I'm playing through MGS4 again and it hit me that the entire time, there's a meter in the top right that shows the wind direction and MPH that it's blowing. As far as I can tell, there's no effect, some forums claim that the probability of a "Divine Wind" from the Tanegashima changes depending on where you are in relation to the wind.

    But is that it? Did they really put a whole mechanic that is defined for every room of the game...just for a bonus weapon's bonus attack?

    Is it considered a general “popular opinion” when one’s favorite Metal Gear game is MGS3?

    My favorite game from this series is definitely Snake Eater. I just love it so much and I had lots of fond memories of it when I was a kid. I was wondering if it's considered a popular opinion? Just out of curiosity.

    Any Metal Gear fans also readers? Playing the metal gear games growing up got me into creative storytelling. A lot of the same themes have made their way into my first attempt at a novel with "Silenced".

    This is a story about a detective in Miami who chases a group of killers connected to the Soviets. Even though it's a detective thriller, it contains themes such as the dangers of artificial intelligence, the harm in killing (for you non-lethal players), the harm in blind loyalty to the government, etc. The main character even wears a sneaking suit and uses a tranquilizer pistol. (Yep, and he's a detective.)
