    Love the organic gameplay moments that are created in mgsv, had a great moment today

    Was on a mission where I had to destroy some walker gear the CFA had. My MO is to gain a vantage point, try and find a route that would provide ample cover and minimal hostiles (I play without HUD) and then crawl my way towards the objective.

    I saw the gear at the top of a gradual hill, heavily guarded. I reached the bottom of a small rock outcrop next to the hill and rested a moment to let my nvg recharge. While resting I heard two guards just above me discussing the arrival of Big Boss in Africa recently, and how concerned they were; I especially loved the line where the guards both realize they may be at risk of getting attacked, and need to get their shit together.

    After the convo and my nvg was recharged, I made my way up and around the outcrop to find an isolated guard for him to give up his mates location. Just then one rounded the corner that I didn't hear, but I managed to take him out with cqc. However another guard heard this and came to investigate. I knew things were about to go hot (I don't play with tranqs) and had to plan on the fly a way to neutralize the threat but still maintain as much noise discipline as possible.

    I quickly flanked around and got him to stick his hands up and get himself on the ground, however three guards from across the hill spotted me triggering reflex mode. I quickly headshotted the nearest one before running towards the other two weapon drawn to hopefully get two suppressed shots off before they could get two unsuppressed ones in. Thankfully they were both too busy trying to find cover, and I decked the first one with a bionic arm punch and disarmed the second.

    For the next perhaps 1-2 mins various guards came up the hill from different angles to investigate the noise, each one being dealt with until I had about 8-9 bodies either dead, surrendered or knocked out. I quickly placed the c4 and exfiled back the way I came , detonating as I left the village.

    I loved this moment because it felt so perfect it had to be scripted , from my location under the hill to recharge my nvg being the place to hear the guards who's night I was just about to fuck up discuss their fear of me, as well as every other organic consequence that followed. Havnt been able to find another game that provided moments like these so regularly, I have at least 2 more off the top of my head.

    Heyo,

    I've been a Metal Gear fan for a few years now, since I think a little after Phantom Pain came out. But I went back and did a deep dive into the series, and fell deeply in love. I've played a number of them, and the original, but I'm still looking for Twin Snakes they made for the GameCube, that's the one over the rest I'd love to have and play.

    Anyone know a good place where I can track down a copy? I'm in college and I don't have much money, but I'd still like to know a good place to get one and hopefully play it someday!

    MGSV: favorite kind of clothes to wear?

    I'm interested to see the responses on this one. For Snake, the one I like most is wearing the desert fox camo with scarf. Along with the golden arm. The golden arm is my favorite due to the color, but it works really well with this outfit. That combined with the scarf almost makes Snake look like this messiah like figure, really stands out during cutscenes. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the olive drab camo and red arm because it's signature for Snake. But this outfit is just much more appealing to me. Honorable mentions include Khaki 2T (black+beige), PW/GZ sneaking suit, TPP sneaking suit, some leafy green camo I can't remember the name of and tuxedo.

    When I'm not playing as Snake, I'm probably playing as Flaming Buffalo. She's like one of the three female soldiers to not have completely short hair and you can't play as Quiet outside of FOBs. For her I stick her in the parasite mist swimsuit outfit for the tactical benefits. And because I like the color. Although another one I have to mention is EVA's outfit, it looks nice on her too. After that would be TPP sneaking suit.

    Just think how different things could have gone if Big Boss had woken up. And considering how he ends his life and Zero's thinking he grew power hungry, it bums me out every time. But then I also wonder who is recording his visit to the hospital and why didn't Venom Snake give it to Big Boss and my head starts to hurt.
