Trying to get fully immersed in mgsV and I'm wondering, is big boss a killer?

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 11:08 AM PST

I like to play the role as well as I can whenever I'm playing a game. To that end, I try to avoid doing random things that make absolutely no sense, like killing random strangers in FNV, or getting into shootput with cops in cyberpunk. Needless diatribe aside, im asking because I want to apply this same idea to metal gear. What I'm wondering is... Is big boss someone who would gun down an out post before anyone knew he was there, or have the things hes seen affected him to the point that he would never kill without purpose. I know this seems silly, but playing this way really enriches the experience for me.

    MGAc!d - MGS3 link

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 08:00 AM PST

So if you complete Metal Gear Ac!d, you can use the USB wire to connect the PSP to a PS2, and the save file will unlock an exclusive gun to use in Metal Gear Solid 3.

Does anyone know if this would work on the HD edition of MGS3 on the PS3 as well??

I’m currently on a Metal Gear binge and am playing MGS 5 and since Metal Gear Solid 1 is next chronologically..

I was wondering if I need to play it since I already know Big Boss becomes the main villain or something like that

Advice for dealing with the Ocelot Unit?

    Posted: 11 Feb 2021 05:00 AM PST

This is my first time playing MGS3 and I've had no serious trouble until I made it to the part where the Ocelot Unit ambushes you. Is it just me, or is this part a massive difficulty spike? I know you need to enter the hatch and then take out the guys around the building along with the sniper on top of the roof, but how do I deal with the 5 guys that are always travelling together? I'm supposed to take them out "one by one" yet they never seem to split up.

Is there an preferred strategy for how to deal with these guys stealthily?
