| The original MGS4 ending verses what we got Posted: 15 Jan 2021 11:41 AM PST As some of you may know, the original ending was to have Otacon and Snake turn themselves in for all the things they did during the philanthropy days, then get they would end up getting executed for their 'crimes'. The ending that we ended up getting. Where Snake goes to kill himself but ends up returning, having talked to Big Boss. Then Hal (in the MGS4 novel) talks about how they all traveled the world together in Snake's last days. That he died peacefully with a smile on his face. As much as the latter sounds more what Snake deserved, which was a peaceful death. A part of me is still saddened by the fact that he had to leave Otacon behind. (Not to mention Sunny.) And the details that are in the novel; I'm not entirely sure I should take them to heart. Kojima has said the novel is canon but I'm still wary. I'm not sure how to feel, despite the fact they're comforting in a way. Sorry for the long post, I just have many feelings on this. What are your thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||

| I like MGS2 but I don't really get it Posted: 15 Jan 2021 01:26 PM PST I have played the game abiut trice. Love the story and characters (gameplay is a mixed bag), but to be perfectly honest...I don't really understand it. A lot of my enjoyment comes from symphatizing with Raiden and being genuinely creeped out by the antagonists. Is there a clear cut judgement on what is or isn't real and what it means in the game. I've watched Superbunnyhop's video on the game and his conclusion seemed to be that it doesn't really matter either way, because the future is in your hands anyway. Anyhow, what do you guys think?
