After being a super fan for twenty years, I still don’t know the story very well. Posted: 08 Nov 2020 02:22 PM PST I've played the MGS franchise through several times and I thought that I knew the story in a passing albeit fractured manner. Like if I had to give a Ted Talk I'd do alright. But it seems like the more I try to learn about each massively dense and wildly developed character and the major events, the less I realize I know. What are your favorite guides to the story? Thanks so much. [link] [comments]

I think Ground Zeroes is an example on what Phantom Pain was supposed to be (bit of a rant) Posted: 08 Nov 2020 02:21 PM PST The main mission had multiple cutscenes, the music had a charm to it and played during certain moments, the side ops had a good amount of content and seemed like optional extras. In Phantom Pain most of the main missions felt like Ground Zeroes Side Ops and the actual side ops were slightly different copies in large numbers. The soundtrack feels a bit generic and it's as if the main story missions with cutscenes and any relevance to the plot are in between all the filler missions. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love phantom pain and have played it over multiple times and still prefer it over Ground Zeroes... in terms of game mechanics. I can't help but feel like Ground Zeroes was how Phantom Pain was supposed to be like and when I think of it like that I can start to see the rushed development of Phantom Pain and wonder what the game would've been had it received extra development time. I heard somewhere that you were supposed to have an all out war against the Soviets on mother base at some point. What do you think? [link] [comments]
Is MGS2 Torture Scene hard on Normal Difficulty? Posted: 08 Nov 2020 12:45 PM PST Hi, i just beat MGS1 and got Bad Ending because of that damn torture scene. Here comes question. Is torture scene in MGS2 hard on Normal difficulty? Can i beat it without Extreme Button Mashing? P.S. -Sorry for my bad English, still learning. [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Nov 2020 11:57 AM PST Has anyone heard about the auto HDR feature on the Xbox? Apparently, it adds HDR to old games automatically. Metal Gear Solid ground Zeroes has been tested and supposedly looks pretty good. Has anyone heard about the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection being tested? How cool would it be to play 2 and 3 with HDR enabled? [link] [comments]
