    When you are replaying all the games after 4ish years, you just beat the pain in snake eater and you see the end being wheeled off, "where can I find a sniper rifle" you say to yourself. Then you realize that you said it like snake and said it out loud. Isn't that a meme? It should be. Ps no really where can I find a sniper rifle?

    Why the magic of Peace Walker is lost in HD

    After replaying the series and checking out PW on my PS3, I figured out why it's not as well loved. It's undeserved.

    Point being, the audio tapes.

    In-between every mission more audio conversations are unlocked, and you can listen to them at any time before starting the mission. Think of it like a personally tailored metal gear podcast.

    Unfortunately this HUGE lore immersion is lost when sitting on the couch staring at the tv. Most players will probably not listen to them all out of boredom.

    One thing to consider "Tranfarring" your save file to the psp for peace walker in-between playthoughs. Which you can then go back forth to the HD version.

    This of course requires a psp and another copy of PW. but so much of the lore and character engagement is in the audio files. I learned central american history, habits of soldiers, war, agriculture, and the stories of so many people. Even that snake thinks Santa is real! It was designed with the Japanese traveler in mind with headphones that used a lot of public transportation. Monster Hunter was huge at the time, but difficult to play while standing. So this was a way to pass the time pre-smartphone.

    My second playthrough just last year I loved listening to them while I drove, or even putting my psp with full volume on the windowsill while I cooked or did dishes. Getting to know the characters was just as important as gameplay and really why PW is my favorite of the entire series.

    TPP tried this with portable cassettes, but muted the outside world audio and could get you into trouble.

    The HD version has been hailed as the best way to play because of graphics. But as a portable, PW truly creates an experience like no other, and should not be missed.

    The game was amazing, I put countless hours into it, but it always felt like it was missing things. I know they never finished the actual storyline, but I wanted to see what other weapons and hidden things they could have added.

    You guys probably realized this, but mgsv felt really similar to peace walker. I think they did an amazing job on it. Between the story, the characters, the gameplay, hidden Eastereggs, and best of all, the weapons.

    I just wish we got all the insane different weapons you could get from peace walker and more. Like, imagine having weapons like the tanegashima (the tornado gun) in mgsv. Or the fact you could get a banana as a weapon from the R&D team is you did the right side mission.

    The side missions were something else too that felt incomplete. I personally wanted to get more exotic animals. Specifically something like the dinosaurs you could get in the peace walker monster hunt Easteregg.

    This was more of a rant than anything else and I'm fully aware that they never totally finished the game, just I wish that they either had more time to do so, or that it came out with a free dlc that finished off chapter 3 and maybe made a chapter 4, where it's just all the things that happened after the main things.

    When I enter a mission with a previously "procured" car, do I need to fulton that car out before extracting, or is it retrieved automatically?

    I have finally got all of the equipment to do this. I have a PS classic (modded), PS2 (modded), PS3 (modded), and a high-end PC for streaming as well as component and HDMI converters to bypass any HDCP crap. I have a nice mic/camera combo for my PC and an internal elGato capture card. I would like to play through every Metal Gear Solid game that's been officially released, maybe even some unofficial games as well afterwards. I am not sure of all the games I should play or in what order, so I would definitely like to have some structure to this and I think y'all can help. How should I do this?

    Hello guys. I'm huge fan of Metal Gear series specially first one. I have question. Is there any book with like documents from first series for fans to buy and collect. I'm not sure is that even exist but maybe you guys can suggest some books about it. Thanks.

    Hi all,

    First of all, i only recently picked up the game, so keep that in mind when posting comments below.

    Currently just finished mission 25, anything beyond that is a spoiler.

    DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED MISSION 25 YET.

    EDIT: TL;DR - Quarantine time: 2307 soldiers because online FOB grinding and 3 FOB's + Mother Base.

    Nice, cool idea.

    2 things:

    - I can't sort by language.

    - I have 2307 soldiers at base, no, that's not a fucking typo.

    How am i supposed to counter this?

    I know it's either afrikaans or kikongo, but going through the list will take me, LITERALLY more than an hour, and that's hoping i don't miss anyone.

    What the fuck do i do?

    I'm not going to sit through a literal hour of me sorting people, and i would very much appreciate it if i didn't lose all my S rank soldiers (i have been grinding high level FOB missions for... a while, and have like 50+ per division.), so how the fuck do i prevent this shit from spreading?

    I know what i said about spoilers, but i draw a line here.

    I don't care whether this spoils the entire game or not, how do i fix this in a way that won't take me fuckloads of time?

    Does the disease spread to other languages?

    Do people learn other languages? (Afrikaans/Kikongo?)

    Can i just quarantine everyone?

    Will everyone in quarantine be individually quarantined and checked, or will they be thrown in a room and be told: "Don't sneeze on each other, kay?". (Will uninfected people in quarantine be infected?)

    TELL ME WHAT TO DO TO NOT LOSE HALF MY FUCKING ARMY.
